soft shifter?

on colder days (30F range) the Z's tranny is kinda stubborn. my G's gearbox is even worse until the tranny oil is warmed up. my Honda's gearbox is no issue

The gearbox in my old RSX and other K20 trans cars have the same issue as my Z. It really depends on what kind of fluid you use, but most high performance gear boxes will act like that due to all of the close tolerances.
