370z owners, what do you do about practicality?

i haven't heard of this myth yet... is the auto faster than a manual? how so with hp loss?

The gears are closer spaced, the power under the curve over distance accelerated due to the more proliferate and closer spaced gears as compared to the 6-speed more than makes up for the power loss. That's all there is to it and no need to re-hash all the other business.

Not true -- my Dad drives an automatic (but he is 80). My Brother in Law drives one as well (but he is 340 pounds and cannot manipulate a stick due to his girth).

Sounds like you shouldnt get a Z. If you do you will end up trading it later.

Ive said in other threads that people dont really considering living with the Z 10 months down the road and your bringing up these things right now (good start)

If you buy the Z you have to know that its not practical. your friends can STFU and drive their own car. Honestly. If they want you to get a car to haul them around in, then have them help pay for you to get a car different from the one you want.

Borrow your parents RX when the rare time comes that you have to move something big.

As for the guilt about your mom, first off sorry for the Polio but thats something you have to decide. About 2 years ago my fathers health was really bad and so when I was getting another car, i just got an automatic GTO. its not what i wanted, but it was still at least fun and an auto incase anyone had to drive to the hospital at any time.

Now, 2 years later, my dads health is like 500times better so I got the car i wanted. a 370z. Although i was in a position where i also picked up a versa at the same time for practicality reasons.

So again, maybe you shouldnt get the Z. instead get something temporarily for like 2 years until you know you'll be in a position to get something you want. and 2 years does go by faster than you think.

It's simple. The Z isn't a practical car. It's a sports car. It was designed to be good at being a sports car. It's all about really knowing what you want. You are unsure for a reason. Discover, understand, and come to terms with that. Then make up your mind and don't look back.

She just doesn't like the idea that shes financing car that she can't get a chance to drive, so I'm feeling like a selfish ****. But honestly, the 370 is just a car you can't have in automatic IMO. I'm a transporter for Nissan and had to drive 2 hours in a 370z auto, and as fun as it was, it didn't feel completely right.

I just want some opinions.

dont worry its enough room for sex , just make sure the girl u get in ur car is short u kno no taller than 5'4

The z's the perfect car for picking up skinny chicks (ugly or good looking), because fat chicks can't fit in it

I think OP might find the G37 coupe a better fit.

Or maybe look into muscle cars..they generally have 4 seats (mustang or camaro).

Even if I drove an F250 fat girls couldn't get in it. Why do you need a car to limit them? Just do it yourself.
