So here's the story of my life...

I built a bad @$$ twin turbo 370z, and a couple of days ago my fiance tells me that I'm a father... . Im happy about that, but I think the car is gonna have to go now that I'm going to need a 5 passenger vehicle. This sucks! lol

I love the car and I'd hate to see it go....

red6spd 01-01-2011 09:35 AM

I would drive an Aveo (which could fit 5) as a DD before I got rid of my NA Z let alone a TT Z. Good Luck man. As a matter of fact I drive a Versa as a DD LOL.

xbigb4ller69z 01-01-2011 09:45 AM

lol..... Great way to start a new year!!! what would a TT fully modified sell for?

CrownR426 01-01-2011 09:47 AM

Get an EVO10 MR!
I'm thinking of switching to the evo or waiting for M3 or GTR

Kirkster 01-01-2011 09:54 AM

Well your forum name will definitely fit, now that you are going to have to get rid of your TT Z for a Honda Fit...

cajunz 01-01-2011 10:02 AM

I know the feeling. Back in '87 when I was driving an '84 Z31, the wife announces that we are expecting. Turns out it was twins. Needless to say, the Z went down the road in favor of a more family friendly ride. Life happens. Enjoy the ride.

xbigb4ller69z 01-01-2011 10:07 AM

I feel like the guy in the Nissan commercial! lol mannnnnn dejavu

mick 01-01-2011 11:01 AM

wow. congratulations and codolences :) :(

Nismoracer 01-01-2011 11:05 AM

Doesn't she have a car? What does she drive and would that work.

sojirovskensi 01-01-2011 11:46 AM

I would buy a small car for kids and keep your Z for yourself.
Treat yourself!

frost 01-01-2011 12:02 PM

So you can afford a brand new car, then TTs on top of it, but not a cheap DD to lug the kids around?

Trips 01-01-2011 12:09 PM

Having a Baby isn't the end of the World! Keep the car, and like it was suggested find a economic 4 door dd and thats that!!

daisuke149 01-01-2011 12:23 PM

yeah you dont want a nice car for baby's.. they will puke.. it will smell funky..

get some old cheap beater.

xbigb4ller69z 01-01-2011 01:00 PM

Yea but shes into having a SAFE car/suv... I don't want to get something cheap. If I sell the Z, I can get a new infiniti FX35 or something like that...

I just don't know what a TT 370z would retail for with all the mods I've done already

looking at some of the past ones that sold. 35k-40k.

a huge hit man.

You can get really safe used cars for DD.

didymus 01-01-2011 01:05 PM

Just stretch it out into a TT Maxima!

Junior370z 01-01-2011 01:32 PM

If you going to get rid of the Z I would buy an evo so you can still go fast! Or like the others said already, buy a used family car. There a affordable Odysseys out there. That's what I have as a family car. We have 4 kids lol!

xbigb4ller69z 01-01-2011 01:49 PM

2010 40th anniv 6700 miles GTM stg 1... plus all the mods I've done, I think I can get at least 45K ?

you sure can try. but even a nismo with alot of mods and gtm TT was I think 40 or under. Not trying to disuage you from trying, just I think thats the numbers i recall.

You can try to sell it for what you want, and then lets say the only offer is about 5-6k then instead of taking the hit why not just spend 5-6k on another car!

Also if you dont want a super sporty big family car (EVo, STI) but still want something large, comfy with gobs of power.. G8 GT...

SPOHN 01-01-2011 02:31 PM

Keep the car. Get another job. LOL.

It sucks to say but cars are never an investment. Modifications never add value to a car. That's why you see people parting out before selling. You can try to sell it for the price you ask and might get lucky that someone will buy it. It never hurts to try.

true, modifications don't really add much value to a car, but a twin turbo kit isn't just some body kit or a set of springs. the TT kit should add at least 5k to what someone would be willing to pay for the car.

Jeffblue 01-01-2011 03:02 PM

btw, if you had the extra money around to TT your car, don't you have some extra cash to buy a decent truck or crossover? you could get a subaru forester or some kind of wagon thing for like less than 10k.

It all depends on the consumer who's looking to buy. I think I am speaking from the majority that I would rather buy a virgin car than a modified one. I would even stay away from an aftermarket turbocharged car since it never came with one in the first place. Having good history of who did the work and condition of the car would be fine, I guess.

Provided you can find someone who wants those parts on the car. Especially on a newer car like the Z, it's hard.

You will never your money back on modifications, unlesss you find the right person.

Get a four door DD and keep to 370Z because you are going to lose a lot of money!

LMBmikeZ 01-01-2011 06:16 PM

IMO I would be getting a beater!

GLWS though.........

sonic370 01-01-2011 06:28 PM

sounds like you put a lot of time and i know money in your z.

hope you get what you won't for it...

FL 4Motion 01-01-2011 06:30 PM

Man, sorry you're looking to sell so soon. Like just about everyone else has stated, just get a nice dd, you can find a safe one if that's the issue and keep the TT.

DD that meet your requirments that come to mind: Xterra, altima, 4door civic, corolla, honda fit, honda element, murano, accord...

there's plenty of options in the used market.

Oh, and Frost---, that was some funny sh!t man.

Pushing_Tin 01-01-2011 07:52 PM

Good luck with the sale, I don't think you'll be able to get that much for it but hopefully you will.

I don't think that too many people have $40 to $45K laying around.

In addition the buyer is probably going to be finance the car, the Bank or FCU is going to go with the BB price, unless the buyer has a hefty down payment against the loan.

GLWS
