Well muscle car have traditionally been more powerful, but they're heavier as well and don't handle nearly as good.

Also the question is, those high power and somewhat exclusive muscle cars, selling? I don't know this and I would be interested in looking at the data if someone can offer any.

Apparently the new Camaro has been selling as fast as they can get to the dealership. I also doubt the Mustang sales are anywhere as low as the Z. They're selling.

If they make the Z more competitive on the street with the pony cars I bet the sales would increase. Who would complain about more power?

Actually, I heard Camaro sales slowed down when the new Stang came out. Anyone have the sales figs?

Even then, the v6 version of both of those cars outsell the muscly v8s

The current Z may not be redone for 6 years of production; just like the 350 (03-08). Probably 2015.

Yes, the domestic 'sports cars' always have been more successful than the Japanese sports car, there is no question about that. I was referring to the a little exclusive domestic cars, like the GT500. I wonder if they sell just as well, just because they offer more power.

Not a fair comparison, because they also offer...more cost.

Compare the Z06 to the GT-R sales, or the GT500 sales to the M3 sales.
