Oil change at 3.8k necessary??

Not to hijack but what about drivers who hit the monthly cap before the mileage? i.e. I changed mine in Aug and I have not put another 3750 on her

Nissan's monthly caps make no logical sense. I would not go more than a year on synthetic oil and low miles, but the monthly caps? Nissan would have to technically prove how they arrived at those caps to even remotely be believable.

I guess if you were driving the piss (not tracking it) out of your 370Z in 110+ degree weather then the monthly caps might make so sense.

Yeah I feel the same way. I know some people might think that oil "breaks down" after time but I don't think that it breaks down that fast. I have a coworker who has a G37x and we were discussing this same topic.
