I rented a Mustang when I was in Hawaii and it was the most boring car I'd ever driven... it was the V8 and it was a bore fest.

I'll stick with the Z

+1, we had a pretty quick Scion around here. It would be a good run for a near stock 370Z if the 370 knew what he was doing. Lots of people just want to see how their ride stacks up.

Hey M4A1, did you not want to mod your Z so that it could have that low end grunt?

I did all the bolt ons, but low-end grunt in the Z would require some sort of FI setup and it just wasn't worth it (to me).

What you can get out of this post is he hates being blown.

No, I love getting blown, I'm just not OK with paying for it like some of you are. :icon17:

ClemsonWill 12-03-2010 09:34 AM

As long as your getting blown. How you get it is your own business!

Nice thread. I am looking into a slightly used Nismo right now. I have a 2010 GT500 and an SC widebody 06 Mustang. Both over 500HP cars. But to be honest, the 370 (or even 350Z) has always looked better to me in stock form than a Mustang.. Now that the 370Z
is out and I've actually seen them up close and driven one, I really like them. I would sell my widebody Mustang and start over with a 370Z :)

m4a1mustang 12-03-2010 10:31 AM

Pics?

Mt Tam I am 12-03-2010 10:42 AM

I like the winding turns. The 370 does a great job delivering handling. The Mustang delivers great power, yet seems to lack in the handling department. I have yet to see a mustang hauling *** and break away from whatever is behind them. Thus far they are constantly holding somebody up behind them on the turns. On the straights, especially those racing striped Mustangs fly without anyone close to them, sounding great.

Maybe you should watch the M3 vs. 5.0 video. I can tell you right now, the new 5.0 handles with the best of them.

When we go down to ZDayZ next year I am going to have absolutely no problems keeping up with any of the Z's on the Dragon.

If you see one holding people up in the corners it's probably the driver, not the car.

NoZYet 12-03-2010 10:51 AM

don't want to jack the thread but this is what I have, the WideBody is not for everyone however I didn't build it for everyone. We have put alot of time and effort into that one. The pics don't really do justice on the paint and kit IMO. Thanks guys.

I have lower control arms and an axle back right now. I have a laundry list of performance and suspension stuff for next year.

Nice, are you prepping it for track duty or just a tight street car?

Right now just as a street car with some light track duty (1/4 mile and HPDE).

LuckyJinx 12-03-2010 03:00 PM

I would love to go up with that on the track.

m4a1mustang 12-03-2010 03:02 PM

Buy me a Kenne Bell and we'll have a go at it :icon17:

Sounds like a plan bro. Are you into CF parts at all?

It really depends on what the part is. I think CF is nice as an accent but I'm not a big fan of full CF body panels or anything like that.

A Watts link definitely is on the list. This car already has fantastic handling, its going to be even better with the Watts link and coilovers. Just got back from the Z meet and then blasting through back roads with a Gallardo... this car is an absolute blast to drive.

Jessobear 12-04-2010 12:00 PM

If there was a way to take the engine out of the Mustang and put it in a better car, that would be awesome. It's kind of like the Evo of American cars.

Wayyyyyyyyyyy more fun to drive than the Z, I love the fact that most idiots don't even try to race when they pull up beside me, unlike in the Z.

I just get sick of hearing, "there are so many mustangs on the street." My response, "just close your eyes when you see one."

I won't say it's more fun to drive than the Z. I had plenty of fun with the Z and thought it was a blast. So is the Mustang.

And I only get annoyed when people with limited knowledge of the car try to discount it's handling, when there's plenty of evidence to the contrary. Not to mention a handful of people who have had extensive seat time with both cars telling you that they are both pretty freaking stout. I'd love to take some non-believers out on some back roads to show them what it can do.

But I'm not really interested in cleaning the **** stains off my leather seats. :icon17:

On her period again? Cloth or suede? I think we might need a new seat cover. :icon17:
