Sitting in the 5.0 is like sitting in a cardboard box. Its fun to be in one, buy nothing really fun to do. I test drove it to see what the hype was about. 10 minutes later I saw at least 5 other mustangs and I was like, "No".

That's funny because cardboard boxes are fun. |

Refrigerator boxes are king. Much nicer on the inside and the quality is fantastic!

I saw five other boxes and I can't have that.

But thankfully I live in Northern Virginia where I see more Lamborghinis than I do 5.0s. I think I've seen one in the past week (I don't count the v6s, mind you, they are not real cars) while I count 10+ 370Zs on a daily basis. It all depends on where you live, I suppose. Around here GT level (and up) Mustangs are pretty rare. |

Makes sense, though. I live and work in the second richest county in the US. The richest county is the one right next door. :icon17: |

I have had a few cars come up to me and when I rev and they hear something they slowly back away..../sigh |

I never understood why it's always the slowest cars that always have the most aggressive drivers. Scions... there is a big Scion problem around here. |
A 5.0 did that to me, he stopped after that.

I'll probably go with the 525 whp blower in the future and that should be fun. I can't imagine 750 in that Nismo though. That would have been hilariously quick. :bowrofl: |

They see the exhaust (F.I.) and think, who he mods he may want to run. And then they find out what I really modded. |

That area where you guys live is definitely a Mustang hotbed. I guess it's always been different for me up here because they are much less common. If I wanted to fit in I'd buy a Porsche 911. By far NOVA's most popular car. :)
|
My mom drives a new 5.0 it has alot of cool options. But I like the looks and feel of my Z way better. :worship:
|
Yeah, we don't have the income base in this area to support as many high end rides as you do in NoVa. :tiphat:
I saw a blue 5.0 in the grocery store parking lot last weekend with suspension work and wheels. It was hot! That is the first one I had seen up close. Definately a lot of bang for your buck. I can tell you that eventually the roadster will go FI. Probably a GTM TT kit. No rush though. My "antique" is my fast car. |
I don't care if the Mustang 5.0 had a fighter jet's engine under the hood... I'd never buy one. Mustang's just don't do anything for me. The problem with the mustang is that it attracts such a broad spectrum of people...everyone from Soccer moms to chew spitting red necks.
I rented a Mustang when I was in Hawaii and it was the most boring car I'd ever driven... it was the V8 and it was a bore fest. I'll stick with the Z |
