Better With Synchro-Rev Off?

if you're saying your gates are stiff, you need to get your car looked at. oil might be low, might be time to change the oil, might mean bad syncro's.

Could the clutch be a problem as well? My tranny was replaced not too long ago.

nnnn, does it grind often? if not, probably not the clutch. new gearboxes are stubborn sometimes. i know both my Z and G's gearboxes had a stubborn 5th and 6th when brand new. once about 3k miles it was smoother. now the Z is near 10K miles, no issue.

I don't think it grinds. Just something like a linkage noise into 2nd gear sometimes. It's has been about 3K miles since the replacement, definitely much smoother when new. Thanks again.

so you just mash the clutch together with no rev match? you sure you know how to drive MT?

SRM or not, when im in my G i blip each downshift and sometimes that means up to redline if im coming up fast enough. it's no different.

yah, keep driving and see how it improves on its own. if it continues to bother you, have the dealer look at it again at 5K miles noting that you have it plenty of time to break it in.
