On a side note, my dad had a '64 Mercedes and we got 42mpg once. Gotta love a diesel. It was great for keeping people from tailgating too.
Too funny! I guess these are the "new and improved" diesels..lol..no fumes. As a matter of fact, whatever that ad-blu stuff is (urea?) apparently it turns all the emissions back into Nitrogen and Oxygen. Supposedly very good for our environment. A nice change, considering I spent 8 years destroying it with my H2. I love that at idle, it sounds just like any gas engine inside the car. If you are outside, you notice a slight difference and at highway speeds, the engine is quiet (no different than my gas motors in the past.) Now..I just need to get rid of the wind noise

I like the GL a lot better than the ML and the other little baby SUV. I checked out the baby SUV once and really thought it felt pretty cheap inside.
I didn't really consider the ML or the GLK (smallest one). I needed the 7 passenger seating. The GL is EXTREMELY nice on the inside...very very refined, even elegant. I do like that..Reminds me a little of my father inlaws S550, really! I was amazed....

My H2 was SOOO not elegant or nice. I had leather interior and that's about it. LOL.

My only complaint is the wind noise...and it's not something that is inherent to the GL. There is clearly something wrong with my windshield or something. After they fix it, I will have no complaints. (unless something else falls apart!)
