I got the sports package for invoice, so it was 26xx.

I chose the sport package because it had some upgrades I had in mind for a good price. It would be nice to have been able to get some of the NISMO options without the exterior glitz.

Since you're paying to get a 370z, why not get a Sport Package as well? It is well worth it I tell ya. However, if you're looking to cut down payments, that should be no brainer to you.

Yeah but you're forgetting about brakes, wheels, and LSD. Big factors.. With the wheels come better tires for more traction, LSD more stability when powering through corners, and lightweight forged wheels.

I choose the Sport Package over the Touring Package. I had an 04 350Z Touring with Navi. And tell ya the truth the leather sucks, and as nice as it looks when its brand new I know deep down inside after sitting on it a few times it will crease and start to look like ****. I preferred the added bonus in performance vs looks inside. Personally the Base seats are comfy and when I hit a turn fast im not sliding around on leather. Do I like the leather and the Navi... Yes but those are cheaper upgrades then Brakes/Rims/SRM down the line.

In the end its all up to you, but you will most likely regret it if you don't. Try pricing out the following:

19' RAYS
4x RE50's
14' disc brakes w/ 4 pistons in the front
Front chin spoiler
Rear Spoiler
LSD

AND THEN! top it all off with the cost of installation, unless you can install all this yourself. Now I'm not 100% certain, but I'm pretty sure it will cost more than 3K.

Oh! and I forgot to mention, you will still be short the SRM...

I don't think anyone is denying the value of the sports package. Once again, it all comes down to preference and where you want to take the car in terms of mods. From that list you mentioned, I'm sure someone has already thought a part wasn't good enough and replaced it. Otherwise, we wouldn't find those very parts for sale. Like the Rays wheels & RE50's for example. Usually the first to go. You don't have to look to far on this forum for aftermarket replacement for those two. If you plan to keep it stock, its a great deal.....but that's a personal choice.

Also, it is a little unfair not to subtract the cost of the base parts - the car does come with wheels and tires!

Why is this still being debated. It is a nice thing to have but the answer to the question is NO

Let's talk resale value: A 370Z without Touring & Sport packages says that the original owner could barely afford it. Maybe leased it or had his daddy co-sign for it. Maybe drove the sh*t out of it, or modded it and drove the sh*t out of it and then took the mods off before offering for sale. I wouldn't touch a car like that, whether or not the perceptions are accurate. It willend up being sold to the next guy who can barely afford it. There are some great deals out there right now, scrimp on your Starbucks bill or the amount you pay each month to send text messages and make the higher payment.
You are welcome.

I find that fairly frequently, the stripped down, practical models go to those who CAN afford it, and simply don't see the benefit of wasting money on factory add-ons. If I so choose, I can throw on sport package rims for $900, sell my base rims for $600, and swap to an LSD for another $400. The brakes can be bought new for like $1300, less used. Even the base brakes are worth something to someone with a 240, etc.

Also, I'd just offer up the thought that a non-sports package car probably get's driven less hard on average...
