Default Hatch would not close/lock

So last Friday, at the end of my day i go to load up my work stuff in the car and behold, the hatch would not stay closed. I took off the panel, played with the latch and tired to find some way to lock it down. Long story short, i went to a retarded Nissan dealership that was a mile away instead of going to my regular dealership.. the retards ordered me a new latch and tried to charge me for overnight shipping ($120) and that should have been covered under warranty (stated my reg dealership). I said No thanks and the next am took it to the better dealership and they found that it was the actuator that had gone bad. thankfully they were able to get it locked until the new actuator came in. my car is an 09, has 13k mi on it and I've always had the stuck hatch issue, i just never addressed it since it hasn't been that big of a deal to me. anyway just wanted to share my story.

Also i want to give a shot out to Jason (Jnaut) who is the most helpful, unselfish, and hardworking person I know. and he came through for me this week in a big way. He has done impeccable flawless work to my Z, and for those of you in S. FL who have had work done by him you should be just as appreciative.

I can't believe the first dealership want to charge you for shipping a part that is covered under warranty!

I'll be watching my hatch lock like a hawk. Stuck open is a security nightmare!
