You would think that that would pretty much seal off the noise coming from below. Has anyone done this? iF so, what were your results and how much did you need?
It's somewhere in this thread about doing that.
I've got the plastic, base carpet and then the truck carpet so I don't know how much more I could pack in there.

Mwagner07 glad you finished everything up on B-Quite Ultimate install. I would agree that having the wrong psi (too much) would cause a lot of road noise.

You should heard it without the dynamat!!!!

I've heard less noise when riding a Polaris Razor. It was like having a large piece of tin 6 inches from your ear getting plinked by a rapid fire high velocity BB gun. I truly don't understand the tire noise debate, because that sh*t is mild compared to the pebbles. Way mild.

Engine sound, transmission scream, exhaust note, tire/road noise = Mechanical Music

Plinking rocks, tinking pebbles, spraying water = Obtrusive Noise

Although if you ask RUSH, it's all good....

Red Barchetta
Songwriters: Lee, Geddy; Lifeson, Alex; Peart, Neil;

My uncle has a country place that no one knows about
He says it used to be a farm before the Motor Law
And on Sundays, I elude the eyes, hop the turbine freight
To far outside the wire, where my white-haired uncle waits

Jump to the ground as the turbo slows to cross the borderline
Then run like the wind as excitement shivers up and down my spine
But down in his barn, my uncle preserved for me an old machine
For fifty odd years, to keep it as new has been his dearest dream

I strip away the old debris that hides a shining car
A brilliant red Barchetta from a better vanished time
Ooh, fired up the willing engine, responding with a roar
Tires spitting gravel, I commit my weekly crime

Wind in my hair
Shifting and drifting
Mechanical music
Adrenaline surge

Well-weathered leather, hot metal and oil
The scented country air
Sunlight on chrome, the blur of the landscape
Every nerve aware

Suddenly ahead of me across the mountainside
A gleaming alloy air car shoots towards me, two lanes wide
I spin around with shrieking tires to run the deadly race
It goes screaming through the valley as another joins the chase

Drive like the wind, straining the limits of machine and man
Laughing out loud with fear and hope, I've got a desperate plan
At the one lane bridge, I leave the giants stranded at the riverside
Race back to the farm to dream with my uncle at the fireside

Here is one for you Bonzo..lets hear you play this..

Get your motor runnin'
Head out on the highway
Looking for adventure
In whatever comes our way

Yeah, darlin'
Gonna make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
And explode into space

I like smoke and lightnin'
Heavy metal thunder
Racing in the wind
And the feeling that I'm under

Yeah, darlin'
Gonna make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
And explode into space

Like a true nature child
[ From: BORN TO BE WILD Lyrics - STEPPENWOLF ]
We were born
Born to be wild
We can climbed so high
I never wanna die
Born to be wild
Born to be wild

Get your motor runnin'
Head out on the highway
Looking for adventure
In whatever comes our way

Yeah, darlin'
Gonna make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
And explode into space

Like a true nature child
We were born
Born to be wild
We can climbed so high
I never wanna die
Born to be wild
Born to be wild

Currently own a 2004 base auto G35 Coupe and I have a 2013 Z 6mt Sport Package on order. For those of you who have owned a G35 Coupe around my year, how much louder is the road noise on the Z?

Let's say on a scale of 1 to 10 and the G35 is a 5, what would the Z be? And is this noise just on concrete highways?

I did take a 20 minute test drive with the Z on the highway and some bumpy/beat up back roads and it seemed quieter and smoother than my G35, however this was all on asphalt.

You want to know how much louder the 370Z is ? Strip the carpeting and mat out of the trunk of your G35 and fold down the rear seat. That's a good start.
I owned a 2004 G35 Coupe and it was about half as loud as the Z. As much as I love my 370, the tire & road noise is so obtrusive it just about ruins long freeway road trips. You can barely hear the stereo unless it's turned up to 13 or 14 and forget hearing the quieter passages of songs or having a conversation with a passenger without speaking LOUDLY. Spirited mountain drives, not so much of an issue...

Cabin noise drove me crazy. I replaced my tires with Continentals and the whole cabin noise problem went away. Cut the noise by at least 60 to 70%. Best $850.00 I ever spent!

Actually Extreme Contact DWS---doesn't mean a lot to me technically, but sure worked wonders in vastly reducting road noise in the cabin. I've loved my car ever since.
