I believe that is in the doorjam.

Doorjam states only month and year, not day of production. In some other makes I've owner, one digit (or two) of the VIN identifies the day of production. Apparently not here though. There was a reference in a past post to Certificate of Origin. I don't believe I have such a certificate. Should I have gotten one at delivery?

One last question. My understanding is that all 370's are actually manufactured at the Nissan plant in Tochigi, Japan. What was done at Norfolk VA to enable Norfolk to be designated as the "Final Assembly Point" for my car? Are all 370Z's sold in the U.S. so designated?

The cars on the Follow the Z Tour were obviously not the ones they claimed them to be "#2 and #3 off the production line".

My UK VIN looks similar to yours - the first 9 digits are the same but it all changes after the 'Z34'.

Perhaps there is a country code? I am not sure where in the production line the VIN is applied and if they know the destination of the car at that point.

*** Actually, thinking about this as I type(!) they must know the destination country or all the VINs would have the same coding.

Interesting, I did not even check when they hit their 3rd leg of the tour at Nissan of Elk Grove, Sacramento, CA. Great info, thanks Josh.

My bros Red 370 would fit right in the middle with # 260
