Default Someone Just Scratched my 4 day old Z

I parked it in a garage today and when i got out of work someone had scraped their door against mine, leaving a 2in scrap that was a half an inch wide. So now there is a white mark in the middle of my door. The car is 4 days old, less than 400 miles.

I am so mad right now I am shaking. Sorry no pics

Holy crap... I don't have my Z yet (currently borrowing Dad's Z32-TT), and I park in the garage at work as well. Sometimes I see big trucks park too close for comfort. I don't even know how the owner can open the door and get out without hitting my car! With my 350Z, I never got door dings in college. Once I started fulltime work, I got nasty dings no matter where I parked.

damn sorry to hear that about your car. do you think some scratchx 2.0 from meguiars will help?

but probably better if we get to see some pics of the damage. might have to buy some dr. colorschip to cover up the white lines though.

That really sucks, man, and is a constant fear of mine. I've had luck so far, but when I see some people parallel park... oh man. Just a few days ago I saw someone in a truck back right into the car behind him TWICE. He clearly had no idea of how to parallel park such a large vehicle, and seriously screwed the person behind him.

I'm not looking forward to that day when I get the first door ding! Right now, I'm trying to get additional exercise and park in areas that have the least amount of traffic and with other 'nicer' cars. But it's probably inevitable...unfortunately.

I would be pretty mad.
I'm that guy who always parks a block away just to keep away from everyone.

This reminds me of a guy on another forum. He bought a 'vette, and had it for 3 days when someone keyed the hell out of the entire car. He had to have the whole car re-sprayed.

I am normally the type of person that parks at the very end of the parking lot, but it was a garage and there is not really much that I can do.

Why don't they have cameras, its not like I want to hold them responsible I want the person who did it to pay for it.

one time long ago when i was like 15. my mom and i went to the store to get some things, when we came back, our infiniti was hit on the driver side. but thank god the dude who hit was actually left his insurance card and contact information and another lady who actually saw the accident left a piece of paper with her name and phone number just in case we needed a witness.

i guess the good days are gone?

I am very sorry to hear this . I usually park away from everyone else. With the 370Z, I'm parking at the end of all the parking lots. I don't care how long I have to walk to get to the store. One of my previous vehicle was hit in the parking lot. He(/she) put a tennis ball size dent on my rear bumper and just left. When I saw it, there's nothing I could do . What's happening to the society?

Put a sign next to your car that says, stay away or your life will be taken lmaooooo

Or danger vehicle will explode if key'ed, scratched, or even attempted to be touched by other then the owner.
