I think the LS motor is lighter. Pretty close in any case.
I've done all I'm doing to my engine, with just a tune and intake/test pipes/exhaust. When the engine blows, an LS is going into it. But mine is just a track car anyways and already has no resale value. |

while I can't find a weight of the VQ, here is the weight of a couple LS engines from gmperformanceparts.com: LS1= 409 LS3= 415 LS7= 440
The LSA and LS9 don't have weight listed, but if i had to guess i would guess somewhere around 440 if not a little more. |
