:iagree:
Or at least a LS3, sorry but the LS2 is decent but spend a little bit extra and go for the LS3. Look forward to more information on this build though.

They're all "LSX"s...the LSX PRODUCT was just a block that GMPP sold.

They're almost identical - I'd go either, depending on which one was the better bang-for-the-buck.

am i the only person that gives zero f*cks about seeing an LS installed into another vehicle that it wasn't intended for

I'd be careful, You-Know-Who is always watching...

But don't be jelly - it's only one of the best motors of all time.

probably

edub370 06-07-2012 08:30 PM

True. But its just so.. Played out imo. Not a bad motor by any means

Mike 06-07-2012 08:33 PM

I don't think its played out. Its just an awesome motor for the price and weight. I know that whenever I eventually blow my engine, its the route I want to take.

You and I think exactly alike :-p.

Hell it'd probably be cheaper...

the silly thing is that I haven't done more than intake/exhaust/tune to the engine because I want dependability, but I've lost track days for brakes, suspension, wrecked from an oil cooler line, fuel starvation, axle/differential problem, so I am starting to wonder if the FI upgrade would be any worse.

Haha. I intend to go S/C eventually. But that's after a lot of other things happen. 2 years, and she's paid off!

Uhhhhhhh....why the 2002? The intake manifold is easy enough to find, but if you have the thing pulled already, you may as well put on a better intake manifold, cam, and get the heads re-done too. And besides, the 2002 was the last year of the 4th gen haha.

Either way, I don't think I'd want to do an LS1/LS6 - I'd want to go LS2/LS3, minimum.
