I'm always interested in what cars draw people away from the Z. I love my Z, but know from my own history that I'll be looking for something new in a few years. So I'm in for an update on how you like the Vette as you get used to it!

The Z's seats have a good blend of bolstering and comfort, IMO. They aren't bad at all on a long drive. I drove 900 miles to St. Louis non-stop to pick up my Mustang and it was a comfortable ride.
Just don't lean your head back, as Mike said, or else you'll stab yourself in the back. ![]()

I believe that is the active head restraint system for rear end collisions.

If you don't go on the race track, get the C6 as it is a much better daily driver with almost everything better (room/fuel mileage/power). On the other hand, the Z is much easier to drive close to its limit than the Corvette at the track. With all that said, the C6 is still a faster car at 85%
I went from an 04 350 to 05 C6, now back to a 370. |

I'll say this, the Vette does a lot of things better than the Z, but what the Z does better than the Vette makes up for it. Driving the Z just feels so much better. I still miss the explosive power of the Vette though. And if Nissan doesn't do something like FI for the next gen Z I'll be getting the next gen Vette. |

Yeah, it could probably be fine-tuned some, but with the size of the tires they are running up front, I dunno how much. The Z runs a lot narrower tire up front, so of course it will feel like it gives more feedback. They did re-tune the steering, though. |

Yeah, I know they revised the steering in 2008 but it's only marginally better. I'm hoping it will be Z-like for the next Gen Vette. Then again I also hope Nissan gives a 400+hp FI version soon too, which if thats the case it doesn't matter what the Vettes like. |
