Been there and done that too! Ultimately for me the Z is more fun to drive and I prefer the smaller dimensions of the Z over the Corvette.

I do occassionally miss all that torque though.

I considered the vette as well but decided to go with my 370z because of interior quality.

nonetheless a vette is still a hell of a car, it was a hard decision.

Good choice alternative to a 370Z for sure. I had the same delema and I must admit that after gettin the Z I still find myself looking back at Corvettes.
My next ride will be a Vette GS for sure but I do plan to keep the Z as well.

I kind of regret not keeping the Z as I loved the car but financially it didn't make sense for me

If you don't mind saying, what was the price of the base Vette (I assume it was new, not a barely used 2010)?

it is a left over new 2010 Base Corvette
it was 43000 after discounts and Chevy is offering 0% financing for 72 months for left over 2010

There was also a left over Grand Sport 2010 on their lot, but had many options and was about 60K

Honestly I think they don't give the base 'Vettes too much bolstering to allow for easier ingress/egress for the... umm... older gentlemen.

GM doesn't give the seats in the C6 much of anything. The base seats lack the adjustments and the perforated leather of the 2LT and up seats, but they are basically the same seats otherwise. Regardless all C6 seats are pretty bad. How many sports cars do you know that when you slam on brakes the back of the passenger seat flops forward if no one is sitting in it.

Yeah, but the cool thing is by the time you hit the brakes, whatever WAS beside you is too far back to notice, and if it is flopping forward, there are no passengers (obviously) to laugh at you. It's your own dirty little secret.

Yup this is probably the only thing that bugs the hell outta me too. Kinda sad that you have to put the seatbelts on for an empty seat, LOL!

well, I'm 42, so I don't think I'm quite in that category, but yes the seats and seatbelts are disappointing

I am a great big fat man, and I disagree. The seats are taht way because I love the krispy kremes and can't stop eating even when I'm no longer hungry, and plus because it's fun. Also, I don't exercise enough.

Easier ingress/egress than a salad bar. If you'll excuse me, I must now defile myself with frosted pastry and/or cheesy/salty empty carb feed.
