New short block

My car had 80 miles on it before it was at the drag strip I dont buy into the whole break in hype, especially with newer cars.

I know this is a debate in and of itself, but I think break-in is a good thing. Even if it doesn't extend engine life, is there something really so awful about driving your car conservatively for the first X miles and slowly learning its baseline capabilities before driving it like a raving lunatic (in other words, how I drive my Z since break-in)?

lol

Edit: I forgot about today's instant gratification culture. Carry on.
