If you are in a 370 and the other guy is in a 350, he may think you are boasting about having the newer and nicer model rather than signaling a common interest.

Try a thumbs up instead of a wave I guess.

On a somewhat related note, if you let someone merge into traffic or whatever, and they don't offer a quick wave in appreciative acknowledgement, that seriously pisses me off.

If someone drives by you in a 350 and your driving a 370 and they don't wave back it's called penis envy

I flash my lights at all Z's. And the other day I got a light flash from a 350Z. First time that ever happened

I was in shock and almost went off the road trying to raise my left hand to wave before he went by and thought I had snubbed him
