As much as I loved my old car, there is no substitute for a 15+ year newer car. Compared to our youth, now that we are old, the 370 seems inexpensive. Enjoy your investment in yourself.

Parked in my garage is my (new to me) 2009 Nissan 370z, 6-speed, Sports package, Touring, navigation system, with 4,800 miles (300 of which I put on it today).
And it's RED!!! I'm thrilled. I even washed her to get the bugs off her before I put her to bed. After a 12-hour driving day for me, half of it in my new Z, I was exhausted, but couldn't put her to bed with all those bugs on her. I'm exhausted but THRILLED! |

I'm having a wee bit of trouble getting used to the synchorev, which I was so excited about. I take it you cannot delay putting the car into the next gear or it goes crazy. I've got it (almost) handled on the upshift, which was never calling for a delay, but can't get the hang yet of the downshift. I think it's a holdover habit from previous driving and trying to avoid what the upshift now takes care off -- getting that huge rev out of the engine. Maybe it just takes a little time and practice. |

RE: SRM. Leaving the dealership I too remember trying to sync the engine only to have the SRM do the same thing. You will get the hang of it so do not worry. If you really can not stand it, push and hold the button right and above stick shift for about one second to turn it off. You know that it is off when the S that looks like a five, next to digital gear read out, goes out. I remember thinking, again leaving dealership with my new car, I bought a six speed but the salesman must have sold me a five speed because of that S that looks like a five. Congratulations. You are going to love this car.

Yep, I'm going to have to practice. Whoa is me -- NOT! I figured that "S" was for the synchorev. Once I get the hang of it, it will be great. I was used to putting in the clutch on the way to a stop sign from third or fourth and *maybe* going through second on the way to a stop. I take it that's a no-no now. Practice, practice, practice. I'm really outta here now to the lake. Have a terrific weekend. Mitz |

Off topic: I bought and applied Klasse acrylic 3 in 1 to my car and it looks good and cleans easily, especially bugs, even tree sap. My buddy and I then applied it to his laser red Mustang. I am jealous. It looks so good on red, I hope you try it, or something similar.
