Honestly, not to piss on anyone's parade, but the car isnt at all that fast especially when you start hitting over 5000 RPM. that's when the engine starts choking and it really doesnt deliver much power after that. remember this is based on a 3.0 engine that's been bored out quite a few times. they need a new engine to get the right power with the right rev. even though i am guilty of street racing often (especially when you're in an asian car, u get harrassed all the time) but i really dont give a rats *** about that or 1/4 mile.
Another thing which i am not sure about but i _think_ the steering gets too light when you get over a 100. on my test drive i only went 100 per dealer's request, and i felt steering going that route. but judging from my previous G, and Z experience i doubt it'll be too pleasant or safe going over 120 anyway the car still puts me ahead of traffic, by far which is good enough for me. but to me the Z isnt about that, it's about 1. looks (which is very subjective), 2. the fact it's small and nimble, 3. could be awesome on the track (gotta figure out what to do with VDC tho), 4. cheap, 5. exhaust notes, 6. takes crazy wheel offset. yes i want the car to mod it, drop it, put wheels, etc. |

yah but how often do i really "need" to go over 120? im not saying i do not. i almost hit 145 on daily basis on my way to work, but do i "need" to do that? probably not. i also have to admit the m3 doesnt "feel" fast either. my 335 felt faster especially on low range. the m3 is not a GTR, but when i made my decision on it the 1/4 mile was definitely not in the equation otherwise i'd be in a C63!
the car makes perfect sense! i am also considering the old 350z since there's probably hella deals on them right now. |

![]() That's a bit scary to hear, I seldom have need to go much north of 80, going over 120 on any public road with other traffic around is nuts. |

I certainly hope you aren't implying that if you buy the sports car and do not drive that fast on public roads, you are simply buying it to look at. |

it's wrong to go over speed limit and it's definitely unsafe and im endangering my life (since there's usually no other people on that road). but the temptation man!!! going thru the gears redlining in each one of them, i find myself at 145 by 4th gear and that's when i go "oh ****"!!!
when i first bought my G35 my criteria was to be just ahead of traffic in case i need the power. then i got greedy |

To stay on topic, the car is plenty fast for me, I never drag race so massive amounts of straight line acceleration is not my priority. That said, the car is certainly plenty quick to get around traffic or up to speed. The car really shines in the twisties though for me. |

^^ we need some of those Canadian roads here. I can't think of a single place in Oregon that I could get away with that, without endangering someone else or having my license revoked.

It is our right as free Americans to drive way over, under and all around the posted speed limit, and I as a proud veteran could careless about the posted speed limit who really follows it at anytime (except in school crossing areas)
Whats next someone sues the car companies because they make cars that break the speed limit, like when some lard **s sued the fast food joints because the food made them fat, no the food didn't make you fat, you got fat eating way to much food at that joint.... everyone here knows when it's time to pour on the speed and when to back off, but don't ever give up that right to be loud and proud and break the law... it is the only law in this country where the cop sits there waiting, entrapment, you don't see them sitting for a bank robber, a mugging, a burgulary, nope just some old lady doing 65 in a 55 getting caught by mr.entrapment...
