40 and this is my first Z
This would be interesting to see by country, as I'm certain if this was done in the UK, the higher numbers would be in the older age groups.

Well, for me going to a Service Academy and the parents not having to pay for school really helped out. Saved up a bit, put a little down from the loan they give us senior year here, and my pops also chipped in.

See here's the difference between US & Canada. US the 2013 370Z is 35-42K, in Canada the Z is 56-60K. Most if not bought by their parents can NOT afford to buy a new 370z. 2010's still go for 30K+!!!
I was 32.5 when i bought my 40th

I agree, most of the times it's the parents. However just because you are young doesn't mean you can't afford nice things. At 22, I bought a brand new car, a 2008 fully loaded Altima- it was $32k sticker (Paid $29k OTD). Then proceeded to buy a house and get married over the next 4 years.

I just turned 27 and was looking to buy a brand new 370z this year but after a lot of research and thought, I decided that I didn't want to spend $45k on a car to have it sit in the garage most of the week (I'm a consultant), in addition, the changes were so minor from a 2010 to a 2013 that it almost wasn't worth it so I began to look for a nice pre-owned one. I lucked out and found/bought a pristine 2010 Coupe 6MT + Sport + Touring + Nav with only 16k miles on it. It was also one of the last 2010s built (08/10), one owner, and well under my $45k budget for the new one, so that was icing on the cake. Only downfall is it's Black but it's growing on me. My ideal color is blue or white, but I wasn't as picky with color since I was going pre-owned and Zs equipped how I want it seem to be pretty rare in Chicago.

Now that I have the Z- wife wants a new car.....women....

If i get one this summer, i'll be 22/23. almost bought a 350z 3 years ago, but bought a Nissan Frontier instead. Now that it's paid off and I bought a house, it may be time for a sports car.

And, I'm also in the work full time, college part-time club. During the day, I'm a lineman for the electric company. Pays the bills.

27, first z

drove MINI's my whole life.

Younger people if they are in decent professions, ie: engineering will make around 50-55k a year, they can buy a z, or lease it. But yeah the great majority apparently are between 21-25 impressive grasshopper most impressive.
