63. Bought my first "toy" when I was 24, a brand new 74 Triump TR6. Had to... I was driving a 71 Marquis Brougham for business and this 19 yr old geek in his Volkswagon stopped me at a light one night and objected to my driving my "father's car" in such a "reckless" manner....give me a break...I was 24...it had a 429 4 barrel....wasn't my fault!@? i did, although, decided he may have a point...I obviously needed a toy. Loved that TR for about 6 months, until my neighbours wife decided to play a joke on me and "steal" my car while I was at work. Dumb "B" didn't realize it was standard and drove it into the concrete wall of my garage....never the same after. Second toy was a 73 Mustang convertible...bought 2 years old... but belonged to "Diamond Lil"....(meant something at the time!#?) Had that for 11 years until "we" needed something that accomodated car seats, and bags of powders and creams, and diapers etc., and 3 cars was apparently not an option. After that I was told that I didn't want another toy. I dutifully accepted this truism until a buddy decided to sell his modded up 99 Miata...had to have that. As it turned out "darling passion flower" was at the time right.....possibly....bad move for old fat guy. But then those bastards at Ford brought out the 2002 T-Bird....Lord give me strength....that was the greatest thing since sliced bread!! Unfortunately by then "no passion prune face" had become somewhat more adamant in her objections to my enjoying myself. After we divorced....I coasted for a while....until the Z....do love that car...just a bit rough around the edges for a fat old guy used to the numbness of a full size SUV...but I can adapt...at least for the summer.....only 5 weeks to go!!!!!

I'm 26 got my first Z. I'm falling behind my brother had a 350z for 5 years so that would have made him 22 years old.

Now you're in a vert. Mod it up and let the young one's drool.

See here's the difference between US & Canada. US the 2013 370Z is 35-42K, in Canada the Z is 56-60K. Most if not bought by their parents can NOT afford to buy a new 370z. 2010's still go for 30K+!!!
I was 32.5 when i bought my 40th

I wouldn't say most but deft a good percentage. But there are alot of young Americans that make decent money and can afford a car like this depending on their lifestyle. I. Myself got this car last year at age 23 and for what it is, this car is really not that expensive compared to the German luxury vehicles I see kids driving all the time. What makes this car unattainable for people in my age group is the insurance rate. They kill us!

Some wives might bite when that's thrown out there and you'll hear them say "Go get the mistress and I'll go for the pool boy".

I agree, most of the times it's the parents. However just because you are young doesn't mean you can't afford nice things. At 22, I bought a brand new car, a 2008 fully loaded Altima- it was $32k sticker (Paid $29k OTD). Then proceeded to buy a house and get married over the next 4 years.

I just turned 27 and was looking to buy a brand new 370z this year but after a lot of research and thought, I decided that I didn't want to spend $45k on a car to have it sit in the garage most of the week (I'm a consultant), in addition, the changes were so minor from a 2010 to a 2013 that it almost wasn't worth it so I began to look for a nice pre-owned one. I lucked out and found/bought a pristine 2010 Coupe 6MT + Sport + Touring + Nav with only 16k miles on it. It was also one of the last 2010s built (08/10), one owner, and well under my $45k budget for the new one, so that was icing on the cake. Only downfall is it's Black but it's growing on me. My ideal color is blue or white, but I wasn't as picky with color since I was going pre-owned and Zs equipped how I want it seem to be pretty rare in Chicago.

Now that I have the Z- wife wants a new car.....women....
