I bought my 370 vert in 2010 love it, also have a Shell Valley cobra and infinity m35x,I am 65 years young.

I find it interesting how 16-25 year olds make up a third of total buyers on this poll, considering the financial setbacks, owning a a $38k average priced car can impact a budget for a young person.
25-50 year olds make almost 60% of the z market while 10% is comprised of elderly owners. Though Z sales have not been stellar. I think Nissan did a great job at designing a car that was pleasing to the masses. The z in some angles has an immature racer look, while in other angles it has a mature supercar look. The demographic on this poll proves nissan design an overall success in attracting buyers of all age groups. Now Nissan just needs a platform where people will want to buy a Z. I think two pseudo-seats in the rear would bring down insurance costs and give people the illusion of practicality, which would sell more Z cars. PS No I don't expect the rear to fit human beings in the back. lol It's just for the insurance companies. |
wow, hate to be 60 and put along side someone 105yr old...
u old people, u all the same... it says... |
I thought i would be one of the only few around my age with a 370z. I worked my a** off to even obtain the idea of purchasing a 370. At the same time though, i bought mine through a family car business and paid MMR for the car. That also helped out alot, but that insurance is a real pain in my wallet.:icon14:

Also, as much as I would hate the Z to put extra "seats" I think you're right that it would help the car sell a lot more. |
i bought my Z after my 2nd kid was born. it was prefect timing to buy the Z.
kids can ride in my other cars. :icon17: |

The "EXCLUSIVITY" of owning a Z is killing Z development. Something I been stressing since 2011. Funny how no one cared then cuz they thought their Z's were the shyt. lol. Now chevy has a C7, the 1LE is kickin azz everywhere, Scion, subaru has their entries andGC keeps updating something yearly, ford has the stang series and now the ST series... NOW People are upset that the Z engineers aren't doin" shyt to boost Z sales. But due to our "EXCLUSIVITY" they EXCLUSIVELY don't have enough money. :roflpuke2: Now we gotta figure out different ways to make this shyt sell. Faux seats will help in the equation. |
I'd actually don't want Nissan to boost Z sales. Make it more competitive.....sure.....but I don't want a Z around every corner like the vettes. Vettes and Camaros are a dime a dozen by me.

i say if you want just a regular coupe, just get the mustang or camaro or genesis coupe or even the G37C.
i just dont want 4 seats on my sports car. i want my Z to be impractical. i own one because i can. |
I dont want a 60,000 unit annual selling coupe either, but if we can't hit that 15/20,000 annually. We not gonna have a Z. And we need 15k in sales in the USA to make it worth selling AND evolving.
If we sold 15,000 units a year, we'd still be 5 to 1 underdogs against one brand muscle car and 13 to 1 against all muscle out there. it would take 10 years to see multiple Z's a day at that rate. By the time it starts looking common. Here comes redesign in 6. The 350 still looks like a Hot car. I see them about 3x a week. Every now and then i see 3 to 5 in a day but thats when the freaks come out. 150,000 350'z sold in 6 years. Thats not alot. Camaro Sold 125,000 units in 2009. We wouldn't be common. |
