Maybe this poll can be erased & start over fresh?
I only say this because so many members have come & gone.

Will you still need me?
Will you still feed me?
When I'm sixty four (in a couple of weeks time).

Old person's joke coming up...

I went to the doctor today and he told me I've got cancer and alzheimers. But at least I don't have cancer.

...or alzheimers.

Well, I'm new to this forum and to the Z .... but I'm 45 (married with kids).
The poll didn't surprise me too much that these cars are most popular with the 20 and 30-something crowd. (Hey, I was interested in the Z cars pretty much that whole time in my life, too.) But it's good to see as many "outliers" in age as there are.

Someone already accused me of buying a "boy racer" car (in other words, a car I'm supposed to be too old or mature to be driving around). I really don't believe such a thing exists. ANY car sold from the factory is a reasonable option for people of all ages who might want to drive. You might do a bunch of things to modify your car that make it obvious you're a younger driver -- but that's on each individual.

I don't think I'll ever put big fire-breathing dragons down the sides of my car, for example. That would have been a lot "cooler" to drive around when I was in my early 20's ... and not so much if I have to take a co-worker in the office someplace.

When you think about it, Nissan have done very well to design a car that appeals to such a wide demographic. From the age of 9 to the age of 90, people love it.

I got this car when I was just about to turn 40. My modded GTI was starting to breakdown and stumbled across a used one and decided - I would at least try it for a year. 6mo after owning it - I realized I probably should have bought a newer/lower mileage Z but this car keeps a smile on my face so no complaints. Between the looks, the handling and the decent performance - it's definitely a fun ride that I want to keep for awhile.

I was 42 when i found a 2009 touring non sport used with 5k miles. Snagged it, added quaife lsd and bolt ons been happy with it going on 5 years now. No problems running strong still at 105k.
