I'm so incredibly happy, I finally got my RE-11s installed and it made a world of difference to the car. It feels so much grippier and progressive at the limit, and the tires are much quieter than the RE050s. Also, in straight line acceleration the car hooks up much better with little to no traction loss in power shifts from 1st to 2nd. The last thing is the additional width helped close off some additional fender gap and the car looks so mean with that chunky tread!

I had the install done at Shoreline Motoring in Huntington Beach and they did a great job leaving no scratches on the wheels, bagging my old tires so I could bring them back and covering the interior to protect from them getting in and out of the car.

will do.
Thanks everyone! I chose them after seeing how good some of your cars look on the same sizes, it is perfect in my opinion. I'm running 265/35-19s in the front and 285/35-19s in the rear. They fit the S/P Rays perfectly too, the guy who installed them said he was surprised the larger widths fit so well.

Also, I ordered the last two 285 width tires Tirerack has, they said they don't know when they'll have them in stock again.

i suppose if you like the low-dust feature id get the SS-M's. from my experience low-dust types do not bite as well as the regular low-end street pads and sometime prone to squeakage.

Will be looking into some new pads soon, ok now with 35k mi on oem pads, starting to get some squeal thou. Is this due to wear, cold weather, or dust behind the pads? Thanks Ken for the info on endless, their products are top notch, you are always a wealth of good information and I enjoy reading your posts.

Throwing this out for some feedback. Are most seeing their rotors shot when the oem pads wear out? Reason in the 350Z 05-06 year models I ran thru the oem set of pads at 25kmi and had to replace the rotors also. With the 370Z having a much improved caliper and I imagine a different rotor. Is everyone having to replace both pad/rotor? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Interesting as I have the extended maint plan, will have to look into my policy. Thanks

cold weather, dust, and wear grooves all contribute to squeaking but if you use the right pads and BrakeQuiet they should not squeak at all.

was your 350Z running Brembos? my G is the last model year that ran the Brembo's on our cars and the rotors have decent amount of wear grooves but the thickness was fine so i just bedded the endless pads in around 23K miles. no issue and plan to run it until the pads wear out. I usually swap rotors every other time the pads wear out. my G is currently around 29K miles.

imho those places that charge for turning the rotors scare customers by showing them the wear grooves like it's some serious issue. unless my calipers ate a rock or something showing catastrophic grooves (which i would just replace the rotors anyway) i just ignore the normal wear grooves and bed new pads in, replace the rotor next time.

HUGE turnout of Z's at Cars and Coffee this morning. It was awesome.

Afterwards, a group of us headed over to a local indoor go cart track for hot laps. Holy Crap was that fun! I'm going to be crippled tomorrow, but it was worth it.

It's a b1itch getting old, but I'm not going easy.

Stopped by work for a couple of hours, but heading home now for the playoffs - Go Texans and Saints!
