What did you do with your Z today

My first autocross event was today. SO FUN. It was the SCCA Attack of the Cones Event #8 at the Devens Airfield in Mass. I was listed as first place

My first autocross event was today. SO FUN.

It was the SCCA Attack of the Cones Event #8 at the Devens Airfield in Mass. I was listed as first place in Novice class and then for whatever reason they later disqualified that fastest lap. I still don't know why. For an hour or two I was thinking I would walk home a hero with a trophy. Still had fun though Oil temps were fine, stayed in the top of second gear the whole lap.

EDIT: Yes, that's a the370z.com decal on my quarter window - and yes I wore my the370z.com t-shirt today

Kewl Easy you probably got the rookie win so we must disqual shaft LOL. Like the painter tape number. Keep it up.
I know Luna but I still think people stress too much, like I said walking has it's own consequences. I had a guy in our car club get hit crossing the street in a cross walk and it almost killed him. He still walks, as good as he can with his wrecked leg.
Anyways I think the event will be kewl next year if they continue to allow the verts.

I was supposed to take delivery today but the Stealership changed my agreed deal to make me pay more money out my a**. They really ruined my day and seriously pissed me off. I am sitting in the dealership for 5 hours to find they changed the numbers when I stepped in the finance office. Crooks. Good luck for them selling that Z, the last Z they sold took 400 days and that is no lie. I was told by the salesman who was the only person who was cool with me. Anyways this is the car I was SUPPOSED to get. UGHH its so pretty, but I will not give that dealer a penny after that stunt. Maybe it wasn't meant to be, who knows.

Good job. I am sorry they disqualified your fast lap. You did well regardless. I may steal your numbering idea someday.

The brakes are on my target list too. Oil cooler is perfect for the man who stays in second gear around the course. It is my first mod and highly recommended. Sways are inexpensive for the gain. I love the rock solid feeling.

I want to find an auto cross event around here. I am sure they exist.

Good on you for going "D".

Thanks for the input everyone
Luna, my car def isnt winning any shows, esp w the rock chips on my nose. Its a performer not a beauty queen

Red, I figured the oil cooler wasnt necessary for the Dragon, its just something I feel I should do

Im very interested in sways cause itll finish up my suspension work. Anybody here running sways? If so which ones and impressions?? Im kinda leaning toward Whitelines.

I run the Hotchkis with the rears on the medium setting. They made the biggest single difference of my modifications.

Yeah I hear sways make a huge difference. Most say the Hotchkis are more for track use. I guess you beg to differ? How many settings are on the front of those??

The problem with the hotchkis is the front is way too stiff relative to the rear. You dial in ever more understeer than the car has from the factory...

To compensate, most guys wind up running 3* or so of camber up front, which you won't want to do on a street car.
