Drove six miles outta my way through some farm roads to a 76 gas station that sells ethanol-free gas. Prolly won't notice a difference, but if it keeps the engine even a little bit more happy, I'm all for it!

Where are you riding this season? It would be sick to meet up with some of the group members for some slope time and thereafter drinks!

This actually looks like a really fun thread! I think I'm up for the challenge.

Not sure what I will be riding. I work at a ski shop so skys the limit. I have a brand new Solomon Grip Team Edition sitting in my closet from last year, brand new. Not sure if I wanna ride it as it is a rare board. I have another Grip from last year too, its an amazing board to ride, super fun. Never thought Id ride a Solomon let alone like it. I also have a K2 Turbo Dream I use for killin all mtn terrain. We are just startin to unpack the new product at work tom:) fun time of year, its like xmas!! You live in FL how you plan on riding lol??

& yes Red that does seem like a fun thread:tup:

Yea it will work for 09. Can't imagine there's a difference with the monty blue paints for the different years.

As for what I did with it today - thinking of driving her outside in the rain. It's been 8 days since I driven the Z on account of the rainy weather the mid-atlantic has been having but I can't take it anymore. Going through withdrawal. :eekdance:

Looks good! You did the actual paint very well though.

although, in that 3rd pic of your front bumper, do you have scratches in your front bumper, towards bottom?

Ken glad u sold ur racestoppers. I have stored my toy cars in the winters for the past 9 years by doing nothing except a simple oil change before storage. Then once the first snow hits, she just stays parked. Gets started once or twice a month then rolled around in garage. No flat spots in tires or any need for fuel stabil. Is fuel stabil even necessary? Oh also she gets trickle charged all winter.

Z wise today, drove her then will get her prepped for tomorrows last big car show for the season.

yah, i too been kinda in and out from this forum now that im kinda starting to wrap up for the season. spending a lot of time in my music room. i pressured up the spares on both the Z and G yesterday and did all 5 tires on the Fit as well. :)

Flatstoppers, if you have a set, is very convenient. it's nice to know that the tires are off the cold concrete during the winter too. it's a 'place the car on them and forget about it' deal. i dont start the car at all once in hibernation cause it will introduce steam inside the midpipes, oil temps dont get that high, premature cycling of the a/c, etc. i use to start the car and move it around in my garage, etc long time ago but it's too much hassle and introduce more bad than good.

as for stabil. i dont use it. my hibernation isn't really that long. 3months average, 3.5months max. i suppose if you must park the car for a long time like over 6months i would consider using it.

Took her back almost to stock.

Anyone have a set of stock post-Maf tubes they'd part with for cheap? I seem to have misplaced mine in the move.

Dropped it off to get the RE-11's mounted up, an alignment, oil change and PA State Inspection.

It's supposed to rain today, so the Z is sleeping. But I'm contemplating Sway Bars. Is that something I should have done before I changed my exhaust? I know it has to be unhook to install the sways. Oh well, too late now.

I'm contemplating just getting stillen sways since this is a street car and not a track car(if someone wants to talk me into hotchskis or eibachs I'd love to hear you out).

Also, should I invest in the adjustable rear endlinks? I see people blowing out the stock ones.

Yeah, about 3 to 4 months for me.... she gets stored mid to late November (depending on when snow drops), then I try to get her going at March-ish. Yeah I still start her up 1x a month, I've been doing it for years, and no issues. I just like to get things going and moving in there. I leave it running oh, close to 1/2 hour, and meantime, moving it around in the garage every so often. Then gets trickle charged... It's no big deal, plus I want to hear engine run :)

Red, why taking it back to stock, even stock MAF tubes? Someone bought it and wanted it stock? or still just selling?

Z-wise today, don't hate me but, I have a dealer appointment for my Odyssey, which happens to be next to the Audi dealer. They have a 3.2 Quattro A5 there that's in mint condition, in Black again... 6 speed manual. The though of being able to bring my wife and kids at the same time has tickled me. So, I'm just test driving it for $h!ts and giggles.... we'll see. Don't hate me :)

kenchan 09-08-2011 02:39 PM

wow, idling for 30min... :ugh2: but hey it's your car and if you're okay with it.
