I've been motoring all over the place in the rain on my nearly dead rear tyres... with the VDC off.
My conclusion is that the car is still very well mannered and you'd have to treat the throttle like an on/off switch to get seriously out of shape.

no z action for me today. just looked at her briefly this am before going to work.
need to check tire psi this week as temps are coming down.

Yeah, that soft rear sway and the balance of the car do a great job of making sure the front is the first to go unless you really hammer something.

I checked tire pressure and lugs. Drove here to work in the rain. I usually don't take out when raining but starting today I said F it. I have to drive this baby more often. I only drove my 350 23,000 miles in three years before I totaled it. So I really didnt get to enjoy it more with all the money I had in it.

Remind me to do that too, Ken. Temps are in 50's now for me... esp in mornings. Don't they say for winter, to OVERinflate our tires? Do you know what the recommended # is for winter storage in garage?

Ah no big deal Spohn... my G was 8 years old by trade-in, and only had 13k miles. But those were a VERY enjoyable 13k miles ;)

Just PDR, they were able to buff out the rest of the damage free of charge. as it is, the estimate is about $370 to get them out. Fortunately the other person's insurance is paying for it.

i use 42psi @ 32-33F on flat stoppers. my garage can get to 25F on the coldest day in winter which means psi only goes down to 41psi at most.

btw, do you need a set of flatstoppers? I have a full set that i wont be using now that my G's a dd. they go for 250+ new.
Amazon.com: Race Ramps RR-FS Flatstopper - Set of 4: Automotive

sell you mine in like-new condition for $175 shipped (it's a fairly big box). :p

left mine in the shop ...

the tire pressure indicator came on today during a brief errand. I swung by the dealer.
they pumped it up with some NO2 and changed the oil.
On the drive out, i noticed the indicator light still on.
so i u-turned back into the shop.
they took it back - and disengaged the battery to reset the indicator.
all was good until about a block away, it popped on again.
so i u-turned again, and they gave me a loaner...

too bad it's an altima, not the GTR they had on the floor..
