Save me about $400 when order from the 'bay' than in Canada.

That $400 I saved goes directly to my 19-Tires-Rims Saving Bonds.

Something not too crazy, Drag DR-37, like the style, cos the Z is my DD in the summer.

Going to match it with the Continental ExtremeContact DW.

Was thinking about the AvanteGarde M310, but I feel it's too wide for DD, and will cost too much to fit tires on it cos they are 19X11 at the back.

kenchan 12-19-2011 05:43 PM

alcheng- get forgestars if you're going to get that kind of wheel.

dont get Drags unless it's for winter snows or something... come on now. :icon17:

Absolutly. Or even the M310's, they are pretty nice. My Forgestars are 19x11 in the rear but there are smaller widths available if you want to save on rubber:tup:

Drags are pretty much for FWD/AWD low-end cars imho and they dont offer the correct size or offset for our cars.

19x8.5 ET20 or ET40
19X9.5 ET20 or ET40

FRONT: i suppose the ET20 could work but it'll probably stick out too far and look too narrow.

REAR: 9.5 is too narrow and ET20 is sunken in...

Im running 295/30 in the rear. The Forgestars are a remarkable value. I got them in a package deal with tires but I believe the wheels were about $1600 ish. ONLY prob w Forgestar is long wait times. Mine took about 8 weeks to be made and shipped. You get to custom pick your offsets and color, which is awesome.

kenchan 12-19-2011 05:58 PM

yah, if you're stock height get 19x9 ET32 front, 19x11 ET18 rear.

if lowered something like 19x9 ET25 front, 19x11 ET10 rear maybe? wat do you run, alchemy?

LunaZ 12-19-2011 06:00 PM

Getting wheels that are lesser quality than what the car came with for the sake of "getting wheels" is a bad use of your money.

To be honest Forgestar doesnt make the optimal offsets. I went as low as I could go front and rear. 19x9 ET20 front (just about perfect, if not perfect) and 19x11 ET23 rear. Rear leaves a little to be desired. ET20 or 18 would have been $$$ It def wouldnt hurt to throw a 5mm spacer on my rears.

Yes, it's less, it's just the width on the rear, 11', maybe a bit too wide.

I am looking at the Forgestars 14, it looks pretty good, and the price is still around my budget.

LunaZ 12-19-2011 06:43 PM

Until I can afford (justify dropping a large chunk of change on) these, I'll make do with the wheels the car came with.

Great wheel at a GREAT price. Cool colors to choose from as well. I worked with Eric from GETYOURWHEELS.com. He is on the forum, very nice guy. I have some other pics in my album if you're wondwring what they look like on a Z.

LunaZ, that wheel looks like pure sex! :)

Pulled up to the drive thru window tonight and here's how it went:

the cashier dude was staring and smiling at me......for a full three seconds. THREE SECONDS. Not a word did he say.

Then, out came "I LOVE your car! He even went so far as to lean out the window to give it a good back and forth once over!

I was all like, "well thanks a lot dude!"

And then he said...... "are you married"? :wtf2:

When I replied "yes", he responded with a "geez, I've got to get me one of these."

Funny story :icon17:

Call me crazy, I'm not a fan of going through drive thru's in my Z. After scraping my old set of wheels in a drive thru I don't even risk it and just go inside instead.

that's actually perfectly justifiable paranoia

I couldn't get them off but got them loose and pulled out. The keyless entry button I couldn't remove all the way. Its held on by two small phillips head screw. They must have had lock tight on them because they wouldn't budge any and I ended up stripping out the head on them on both sides. So I'm going to start to spray them today. Only had enough time to tape everything off.

luna- wats the weight on those wheels? multi-piece looks nice but usually heavier than one piece.

PWJDM shift knob install today. I definitely need some washers to boost up the boot.

Wow, that's a big gap. Are you going to use the O rings or the bottle top to fix that?

Yes. The short shifter is not helping matters, but a few plastic washers will do the trick.
