Tonight was the first time in a long time that I just wanted to drive my Z just to drive it around and spend some time with her. I drove for around for a little bit and had some spirited runs down some of the less crowded streets and then stopped into In-N-Out for dinner.

I drove home and there were 4 cops outside my house talking to the trashy neighbor down the street, although I'm not sure what for.

I couldn't resist taking a pic of the cop SUV lurking on my Z :icon17:

Feeling better I hope? I am sure she was happy to stretch her legs after being under the wraps for so long. I hope you did not loose any french fries under the seat (the black hole). The cops probably smelled your hamburger hence the lurking. I bet she felt like the first time. :driving: Did you find out what the commotion was with the neighbor?

Yeah I am feeling better, thank you for asking  All the food was still intact, thankfully no fries were lost lol!

I'm not sure about my neighbor, I will have to ask around tomorrow.

nice~!

i wonder if they shipped 1st class or priority mail....
i just tracked mine and it showed last scan in long beach a few nights ago so i might not get mine until Sat/Mon.

if first class i have to say ive lost 2 shipments this Fall. one from Griots and one from another car vendor. but in those cases both shipped 1st class with no tracking... i waited 3wks, nothing. long gone. :ugh2: but the store sent me replacements with tracking#'s and both arrived.

happytheman 12-16-2011 11:12 AM

Looks like I'm going to get my knob today as well! These were, as far as I can tell, shipped USPS Priority, which is supposed to be 3-5 business days.

I usually have my boot bunched up around the top a bit. It does look a bit excessive in the pic. Like I said I didnt have time for a full on photo shoot. I promise better tomorrow:)

brucelidat 12-16-2011 08:34 PM

bled the brakes and added motul brake fluid. only needed one bottle though. I thought I was supposed to need 2, did something go wrong?

brucelidat 12-16-2011 09:02 PM

thinking i was supposed to flush the brake fluid not just drainn it, will this totally negate it now? d'oh!

Now I want a beater to drive the 3.5 miles to PT. I could use a beater, say for instance a 1970's Datsun or Toyo pickup truck, they go forever. :tiphat:

Haha, yeah I wouldn't mind an old Toyota or Honda, hell even a Kia. My drive isn't too bad though, I just hop right on 65 and take it down all the way to Beale. When there's no traffic it's actually an enjoyable drive.

Took the Z out for the last C & C of the year.

DLSTR 12-17-2011 12:31 PM

Used the method/advice SPEARFISH25 posted in the DIY oil cooler cover thread to make and install my oil cooler cover today. He is a GOD in my book :)

Easy and the temps are where they should be for the much cooler German weather now. Roads were good today and hit 200km on Autobahn 8 for the all important, after install, 'road test' :)

Was 5 deg C and sunny :) Perfect timing for the test. :happydance:

Still no major snow or bad weather so far around Stuttgart this winter. Car has new Blizzaks for the daily use!
