Ha ha ha, yeah.

Half of my family is from right across the border, very rural OK. Those country roads are even worse. People will cross over the border into Texas and still be driving 60-65 mph when the speed limit has changed to 70 mph. Of course I'm doing 75-80 mph on most occasions, so I roll up on those people like crazy.

Farmers, Teenage girls, Soccer moms w/ SUVs that they can't drive, No one is safe.........

SkyDancer 05-27-2010 09:06 AM

Gave the Z a hand-job polish of its exhaust tips. It greatly appreciated the full service! ;)

I don't think Combines are really known for their top speed

kenchan 05-27-2010 09:26 AM

Not all Okies drive the speed limit. You must be in an area where they can't make the switch from driving tractors to driving cars. Guess they don't need a Valentine 1.

I took my oldest daughter (5 years old) with me on a spirited drive in the morning. Nothing like a cool morning in the desert, driving a Z with Japanese music playing as the daughter holds her hands out of the window and screams with childish pleasure.

PapoZalsa 05-27-2010 09:16 PM

Finally washed the car after the drive from Zday Fontana Village.

Mike 05-27-2010 09:49 PM

my work parking lot got big *** speed humps at the exit since last time I drove it there. the lip didn't scrape but the undercarriage did, big time.

lemme kick it off. being the gorgeous day that it was today 24 degrees, i just had to take the Z out for a spin. drove an hour away to some decent "mountain" trails and had a few canyon runs with the windows down. gotta say. perfect day.

edit. the internet can be a harsh place so any flamers out there who want a piece of me for starting this "useless" thread. flame suit already on. =]

There's a thread on Mazdas247 called "What have you done to your MS3 today?" and I was about to start one here right before I saw this one!

Today, I sat on the patio and admired my Z while drinking my coffee.
I was thankful all four of my RAYS wheels were still there and pleased that I finally achieved a rattle-free cabin. I tried to picture what the new rotors will look like behind the wheels.
I put a fresh coat of Rain-X on the windows.

Congrats............what did you buy?......post a pic. If you see me flash headlights twice, honk 3 times then wide open throttle to 80 and I'll know who you are...............:rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:

The most Z's I see around here are the 350's. Hope you bought a 370 so there is more 370Z power around here.

Jesse..............you are so right. I hate to get behind gravel, sand and dumpster trucks. Those SOB's drive so fast around here I have to break the law to stay in front of them.......but that's when my friends' detector comes in real handy.

Actually.........with this car I'm breaking the law most of the time anyway.........

So today I installed some yummy new StopTech rotors:

http://www.the370z.com/members/lunaz...ech-rotors.jpg

During the install, I learned that the locking lugnuts the dealer provided for me were all wrong. It became obvious when the top of one of them split away from the rest of the nut. It basically looked like this:

http://www.the370z.com/members/chris...ocking-nut.jpg

Who puts conical seat lugnuts on wheels that take a flat seat lugnut?
Apparently, Lancaster Nissan does.

I ordered some new McGard locking lugnuts from Summit Racing: Summit Racing Part Number MCG-21153
These have a shank and washer like the rest of the lugnuts on the wheel, so hopefully these will do the trick.
I'll keep you posted.

SmoothZ 05-28-2010 10:50 PM

Just finished detailing 2400 miles worth of road grime and bugs off my Z. Spent close to 3 hours cleaning her up, and I'm still not satisfied. I washed, clayed, washed, then put on NXT.

I'm ready for a shower now.

Ztoon 05-29-2010 12:30 AM

Was invited to show the Z at the grand opening of a new tuner shop.
Washed, waxed, and detailed every inch, then hit the road.
5 minutes out, it began raining, by the time I arrived it was pretty much a mud buggy.

Going for a beer now, or 2, or.............

Mike 05-29-2010 12:00 PM

left it sitting in the garage, again :(

daleks 05-29-2010 12:19 PM

Picked up my Swift springs. :ugh2:

LunaZ 05-30-2010 09:19 PM

I gave my Z a hand job.

A hand wax and polishing that is, with Liquid Glass.
Got a nice tan while I was at it.

I'll do just that if I see ya, but so far, I've only seen a few 350Z's..not one 370Z yet. Here's a crappy Iphone picture. It's a Black/Black/Touring/sport/MT version.. bought it from a guy who's being deployed to Afghanistan in a couple of months.

Let the better half drive it to some book club meeting on the St Croix river about 45 minutes from my house. I was told that it's pouring rain there, and she's afraid to drive it home in the weather. :D

When for a nice twisty drive through the mountains :ughdance:. This was the first time I have had a chance to do a spirited run, oh and with the new exhaust it was even better.

SophiaZ 06-06-2010 06:37 PM

I didn't see my Z much today..just took our 15 minute cruise around town and enjoyed the view of the new windshield. The 13" crack was hurting my heart :( But he's good now..just need the visor tint done again. 12 more days till my boo get his 1st wash in the new house :) Which is the VERY first thing I'ma do when I'm moved in haha..the furniture can wait a few hours

Horseface 06-06-2010 06:39 PM
