Just took mine house hunting in DE/MD this past weekend. PERFECT weather made for an awesome driving weekend. Even though I had enough room for 2 duffel bags and laptop in the back, I put my GF in the passenger seat instead I couldn't agree more with the article.

Man I totally disagree. Seats are way uncomfortable to me on long hauls.

Mine is comfortable enough IMO (too rough for some people) but I'd rather be in my brother's LS400 if it's a long trip somewhere. More leg room, quieter, more storage, a back seat to lay down in, a front (passenger) seat that reclines. Just a real world situation.

I've still driven down to Austin a few times, and taken many 2hr-ish drives. Most of these were car-related so of course I'm in the Z. I'll even be driving to Nashville in a couple months if everything keeps going okay.

I also disagree, I took mine 3 1/2 hours to my sister's graduation and I am seriously debating driving it long distances again.

Don't get me wrong I love my car and its not the most uncomfortable thing I've ever been in whatsoever. I'm fine with the seats, it's the stiff suspension through roadwork areas and what not that drove me crazy.

We stopped at a Gas station halfway there and I was complaining about effect of the road work regarding my suspension. My dad responded(completely sarcastically) with "I know, I would of hated to have been driving that car when I was 23 years old......."

HA

Not my first choice out of my garage for a long trip unless it's all back roads. I find the seats very comfortable, don't know what that guy Bonanni is talking about, he must have a base Z

Man, I am surprised. I was mainly on interstates and residential roads that were in good condition. The only annoying thing I hit was traffic coming home.

I drove to Nc and back, 7hours each way and it was damn comfortable. Not as comfortable as my TL but it was all good. Only my gf complained about the road noise which I liked

The problem with long drives is it's so damn fun to drive, I don't realize my butt is starting to hurt! :P

I'd like to know the height and weight on people commenting on the comfort. I'm a lanky 5'9, 140 pounds and have driven six hours at a time in my Z and had no issues.

6'2/185 I just deal with it, it's not terrible. It's better than the bench seat in my '71 c10

I've gone on probably (3) 4-hour road trips, (1) 2-hour cruise, and it's very common for me to drive about 45mins-1hr. These are all 1-way times.

I'm 5'9" about 145-150 pounds.

But like I said, I didn't have a problem with the seats.
