They are falling apart at 75k because of shoddy maintenance. We have a beater '97 Buick LeSabre that runs strong as it's been properly maintained.

Engines like the 3800 Series II V6 found in many late 90s/early 2000s GMs are practically bulletproof if you take care of them. The only things you have to worry about obviously are accessory parts that won't last for the life of the major components regardless of the manufacturer.

Anyways, 100k in 4 years isn't really a big deal. Yeah, 25k per year is well above the average, but again, assuming proper maintenance and care it's absolutely fine.
