That might work if what you say fits his situation??? Or he may have to settle for a GT. Sometimes you gotta sacrifice your dreams temporarily for your children.
have you ever read the law guy? if no back seat is available, a passenger seat is fine as long as the air bag can be turned off, which is by default unless 80 lbs are sitting in it, which no child will reach until legal age to ride in a typical front seat, that is unless of course, you feed your children taco bell and ho ho's for dinner daily

That being said, my Z is my only means of transportation, and as a father, i have no qualms about having my son ride in it with me, however, i ensure his seat is anchored properly and that the seat is in the furthest back position so as to not cause injury should for whatever reason an airbag deploy. We're all entitled to our opinions, so i wont respond to some of the naysayers, but it think its no less safe than having a child in the back seat, if the wreck is bad enough, injuries will happen regardless.

There's some truth there. My 4 year old son loves riding in my Z. And personally I think the front seat of my Z with the airbag deactivated is far safer than the backseat of my work car.

Default Why front facing only

I realize this it is not ideal to put a baby seat of any kind in a sports car but what we know is the 370Z has a weight controlled auto off for the passenger air bag that shuts it off if the passenger is under 80 pounds. My question is that the main concern is if an airbag deploys it could be fatal but why is a front facing car seat OK per the manual and a rear facing seat is not?

The manual states the supplemental front airbag could be fatal.

Would this not be the case if the air bag went off if the car seat was facing forward or backwards.

My logic tells me in a rare emergency I would need to take my sisters infant with me as long as the airbag does not deploy (Which by design it should not) rear facing or front facing would be OK.

Why does the manual say front facing OK Rear Facing Is Not OK?

Is it because it wont strap in rear facing correctly?

Tresfr: It won't strap in correctly and the airbag if deployed will hit the child seat catapulting your child to the rear of the vehicle..

I take my 9 year old daughter with me in the Z all the time -with a small booster under her butt she is fine.

I would not put a baby child seat, but a small booster seat yes like ^ said.

I'm not expert but I would still had the concern of the airbag deploying...

I'm gald my daughter is grown up and barely rides in the Z.

It is very easy to ensure that the airbag is off. Look for the little yellow emblem.

Why do I feel like I'm at the range, watching a bunch of guys huddled up trying to figure out why a gun jammed? It's like everybody forgot Tap-Rack-Bang.

Look, the manual of this car (something you should all have read before driving the car) show's how to properly put a baby/child seat in. You tie down as usual, and adjust the seat all the way back. The airbag will turn off, since the kid won't be heavy enough. The airbag light will mark if it's off. Baby seats will have to face forward. Which is perfectly legal in a two-seater car.

Have you considered towing the baby in a stroller? Or mounting it to the side of the z, like a side car?

Or there's always ...

You beat me to it. I was gonna have to ask for a source on that one... He sounds like those people that brag about their location (wherever it may be) being the car-theft or meth capital of the world. Misinformation is the perfect word for it.
