my computer read 22, but when i calculate in between fill ups (since i got the FI exhaust and KN filters) ive been consistently getting upwards of 24. looks like this current tank is gonna be 22.5, but that was because i have been romping it around town more than usual.

I gotta tell you, first 2 fill ups after the FI exhaust got me 24, and that after an exhaust mod!?! go figure, even with the hard driving to enjoy the exhaust i got about 2mpg better than my previous average of 20-22. Using the gears properly helps save fuel too.

"City" is very arbitrary.

For example, driving around a suburb is considered 'city' but one might do 30-40mph for a good stretch between traffic lights. However, 'city' for me in downtown Chicago is stop and go driving with stop signs/lights every 100 feet. The gas mileage numbers you'll get in these two situations will vary greatly, yet they are both 'city' driving. Highway is a bit more standardized being that you have to be on a highway and expectedly doing about 65-75mph.

It's been two and half weeks since I bought the car and have been driving around a lot in both city and freeway. However, I believe I've done more freeway driving than city. I get around 20~21 mpg avg. I should get better mpg once I break her in. My car is 40th with 6spd manual. Mileage is at 760. Can't wait to break her in!

It's really nice to know some people here actually get 20+ mpg because that means Nissan did make some improvements on the fuel economy from 350z to 370z.

Just out of curiosity, are we calculating these numbers from your gas receipts on how many gallons you filled up (or other methods) or are you guys straight up reading these values from your computer?

As much I don't like the numbers the car computer's giving me, I think it's a better method for us to read off the computer reading because it's a good baseline for us to compare the values.

I think some people getting over 22 MPG is just way too high and there's no way we can really validate that they measured it right. Have anyone actually got 22 MPG+ reading on their computer meter? That's good stuff if you did.

Otherwise, if you're calculating these MPG #'s on your own, the only way to validate it is the computer reading. The car computer tracks the average speed so at least we can be more consistent and not have to debate about amount City & Highway drive.

Also, it'd be nice to also tell us what your AVG MPH (Speed) states on your car computer meter. =) Thanks!

I had reset my trip computer shortly before getting the 21+mpg figure, but yeah, that's where I got it.

GasCubby for the iPhone

I have a pretty heavy foot most of the time so keep that in mind. The massive dip in MPG was my track weekend.

hey just some food for thought, both of my parents have infiniti G Sedans, my mom has a G37, my dad a g35, they each get around 18 on average. both automatic transmissions. my mom does almost only local driving, and has a really light foot, my dad does more highway, but has a heavy foot.

I am reading 22.3 on my meter and I have a slightly heavy foot but I do get alot of areas here in TX where I can cruise at a steady speed too.

It looks like I'm getting ~21-22. I've only had the car a couple weeks though so that number isn't based on a lot of miles.

My wife's EX35 gets about 21.

We both drive about 75% highway. I usually cruise at about 80.

I get about 14 in the city, mostly 50mph quickly for about 1500ft at a time...
