Okay, after reading this, I definitely would've lost it. I probably would of beat her face in. @ myself.

That "person" and that parking is unbelievable! Who could do that? Was she on drugs? Was she in her right mind? Man that is totally F***ed up!
I hope you get it fixed 100%.

I mean someone with a bit of sense would have driven away??>?? she freakin left the car like that and went shopping? I would have called the cops... and had them waiting as she turned up... or i think i would have sat there on the ground in silence in complete shock... i f'n can't believe it... still...

Question

Can we see a picture(s) of the actual damage after the Honda was pulled away? Thanks.

WOW dude. I feel like crying for you. that happen to me , I would of thought of going postal ( just a thought). I worked at dealer body shop in the past and my 2 cents is, find the painter that is good either at dealer or body shop. check their spray booth. its all in the prep work and matching and blending and understanding how the paint behaves makes the paint job. good luck

For all you foreigners out there, the offending parties' insurance company will handle the damages, but the process will be long and annoying to get a check from them. He first has to put in a claim with this lady's insurance company, then a claims adjuster will have to come out and assess the damage, he will then give them an estimate on the damages. After that is approved he will get a check from the morons insurance company.

This process and take days and even weeks to complete. I totally feel for the OP in this situation. Please post more damage pictures and of course pics when it is repaired!

When my car was hit I called ins company got 3 estimates, ins said go for it and I took it in and got it fixed and let the ins pay. no hassles.

Now the real important thing to do is to make sure you get a claim for diminshed value as your car will probably show up on car fax and you will lose resale value. I was told to start at 10% of the cars original value new and go from there.

This was the same thing I was saying and just wanted to make sure you didn't miss it. As they won't offer it up, but with a 2 week old car you have a really strong case and I would make sure you max this out... even 10% sounds low to me...

Yeah...You are owed this and most insurance companies understand why but may not be real easy to deal with. Call the Ins co. and tell them you want to file for diminished value. They will send an appraiser out to look at the car after the repairs and determine 1) repair related shortcomings, and 2) Inherent diminished value from the car now having a record of damage.

I got a couple of grand back after my hit....

Not quite as painful in MA. He files the claim through his own insurance company, and his insurance adjuster will come and take a look at it to estimate the amount of damage or declare it a total loss (obviously not in this case). Repairs can be started immediately at the repair shop of his own choosing, any further damages discovered during the repair process are covered by an adjustment claim from the repair shop.

You don't have to pay any out of pocket, his own insurance company will be going after the other party's insurance for the full amount.
