What's your biggest beef with your 370z/any other car?

I haven't yet picked up my 370z, but from sitting in my friend's 370z, I was getting pretty irritated with some rattling sound inside the cabin.

My current car, the third gen Eclipse, the hood latch is retarded and takes multiple tries, and my doors are never stationary when it's opened, so it always hits me when I'm trying to get in or out.

What's your biggest beef with your car?:ughdance:

djpathfinder 04-14-2010 01:06 AM

Tire/road noise sounds the same whether I have the windows roll down or up in the 370Z. LOL!

shadow2k 04-14-2010 02:23 AM

It's a small thing, but the side mirrors are freakin annoyingly large, and block my view. I need to yank them off and replace them with something smaller.

SB350z 04-14-2010 02:27 AM

None. Read heeya foo : http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-g...ts-so-far.html

Techurious 04-14-2010 02:56 AM

Little things like road noises and relatively limited visibility from inside. But who cares! It is a very beautiful vehicle and fun to drive.

Rui Z 04-14-2010 03:55 AM

I don't like that there's no passenger eject button.

fullmonty 04-14-2010 07:44 AM

I don't like the dash

Red370 04-14-2010 08:18 AM

love everything about mine, what road noise?

Hugoneus 04-14-2010 09:44 AM

1) Ridiculous high in-cabin noise.
2) Very high gravel/sand/tire noise.
3) Clicky, sticky gear shift. (MT)

antman22 04-14-2010 09:44 AM

lack to rearward visibility, but i plan to fix that with a backup cam.

fatcat777 04-14-2010 09:59 AM

the paint sucks

Also, +1 for side mirrors.

batman_4 04-14-2010 11:33 AM

1) oversized rear view mirrors (belong on a truck)
2) rattle in my truck that i can't pin-point.

NewlyIMPORTed 04-14-2010 11:36 AM

i think the stock exhaust was terrible so i replaced it but if you really have a big enough problem with something it can always be changed except for the way people stair at this beautiful car when you drive by :driving::happydance:

Soon 04-14-2010 12:06 PM

^^ do you like the 370? haha

kenchan 04-14-2010 12:25 PM

my beef was the seats. im a j-folk and the same j-folk that designed the 370z could not fit me in correctly. wtf is with that?

but thanks to modshack and his suggestion about using spacers, etc i was able to fix my seat height and now it's perfect. :p im luving my Z right now. :D

oh yah, the other beef was the HU. it sucked...so got a DVD HU and rearview camera. :p

klubbheads 04-14-2010 12:50 PM

The base sound system that comes on the nismo. :(

CrownR426 04-14-2010 01:12 PM

Magnetic Black paint is so bad...

elmz 04-14-2010 01:43 PM

Road noise and paint quality. But also not having 400+ HP but that's just me...

Montez 04-14-2010 01:43 PM

Paint
Interior road noise on certain roads

kielbasa16 04-14-2010 01:57 PM

Agree with black paint and sand/dirt noise in the wheel wells just kills me. Do the splash guards help this at all? I have them, just havent installd them yet.

Would I trade it back for another car? Never
Would I trade it for a PG? Yes

VCuomo 04-14-2010 01:58 PM

The thing that I notice most frequently is the lack of side view - even though I've gotten used to using the side mirrors when changing lanes, I don't like not being able to turn my head and see what's next to me. And the side mirrors don't help at all when backing out of a parking stall - you just have to back out slowly and hope that anyone coming will stop to avoid you.

The only other thing that sometimes (depending on the road conditions) gets to me is the road noise.

IDZRVIT 04-14-2010 03:58 PM

Never enough darn power. 370 should not only mean 3.7 L but also 370 HP.

Intake/CBE/Tune, you're there.

Hadi 04-14-2010 05:28 PM

more power
harsher suspension
The clutch is too deep
everything else is greeat:tup:

Marcus Ryan 04-14-2010 07:10 PM

Part throttle motherfucking boost in my old srt4. That made daily driving a complete nightmare.

Gaiiden 04-14-2010 07:36 PM

Mirrors are my only complaint. They are made bigger on the inside so you can see farther behind you (like on a truck or pickup), but they block forward 1/4 visibility and I would rather have them the same size as the 350Z

No wait - lack of digital speedo. I miss that from my 350Z

FirstZin83 04-14-2010 07:45 PM

I'm not crazy about the oil consumption. But I guess with all these new tight tolerance engines that require 5W oil with the viscosity of water to meet the lubrication needs, I guess some burn off is accepted. #2 - Not crazy about the Ipod issues with newer generation models. #3 - Showing my age here, GOD I miss my Z's having T-Tops.

Road noise is not that bad, but the limited visibility (blinds spots) is something you as a driver need to get used to it. I do have to look twice or three times especially on the passenger side. I already have the driver side down pack.

Other than that I'll see tomorrow when I pick up the car since they are they replacing my front bumper and I will have no holes.

Exactly right! Mine is the same.

steveg78 04-14-2010 08:23 PM

So far just the pass side rear view. If a car is on my right, out of view from the rear hatch window, but not up far enough to make it to my pass side mirror it is completely not visible. I've been getting into the habit of giving it a little gas before I change lanes while I look out that mirror for the guy floundering on my side. Or I just try to avoid tight passes altogether.

Lemers 04-14-2010 08:50 PM

The paint bugs me. I've had the car for 3 months and I have paint chips to the primer and clear coat scratches on the hood. And some jackass put 4 chips in the paint behind the passanger door (must have hit it hard with his door)

Road noise = turn the radio up
blind spots = know they are there and be careful

NewlyIMPORTed 04-14-2010 08:52 PM

The best thing about the car is the engine and road noise, especially the Nismo.

I actually love it lol

i traded in a brand new srt8
jus to get it

i had a 1990 300zx
too

i jus hate when a company cuts corners
on things that would really take the cake

i mean seriously
a clock in the third pod?

Seriously???

Other than a few things that thing is great

NewlyIMPORTed 04-14-2010 09:06 PM

yeah i agree with the clock how was the SRT-8? i almost got one

Csquared 04-14-2010 09:12 PM

Mis-matched paint from the factory.

chuckd05 04-14-2010 09:59 PM

paint is really my only complaint , way too soft and chips way too easily ... also my bumpers were mis matched but nissan covered a respray of front and rear and they match fine so Im happy...

Csquared 04-14-2010 10:03 PM

If i resprayed they need to do, A pillers, front & rear bumper, fuel cap. I dont' want them to rip my car apart to respray! lol.
