Was it on a 3+ lane highway? Your mirrors will only cover you on one lane each side. He could have moved one more lane over, or moved in from one lane over to be next to you. All i can think of.

Also, the amount you can turn your mirrors out depends somewhat on their vertical adjustment as well I believe

People constantly walking over and looking at my car in the parking Lot, Increases my stress level cause the parking spaces here are so tight, DON'T SCRATCH MY CAR.

biggest compaint

sorry but I have to list 2 crappy clear coat, and a stereo they would have been embarrassed to put in a Yugo

Ricochet48 04-16-2010 11:22 PM

I have yet to drive a 370z yet, only sat in one etc. Here's what I do not like as of yet:

1) Gas gauge looks gaudy
2) Rear visibility
It's even worse than my RSX. I understand it's a sports car, but, as mentioned, the navigation touring models should have a rear camera. I'm going to add this myself with a carputer
3) Rear c-pillar bar
I wish it was just a metal bar so I could mount my camera up easier
In regards to the road noise. I'm going to dynamat it heavy. Plus that's not really a big issue as I will install a killer soundsystem haha.

In my RSX:

1) FWD (although I can drive it in the snow)
2) No torque
3) Plastic center piece in the middle of the rear seats
4) 3rd gear pop-outs

Pointless thread is pointless.

That's my only complaint with my car.

Car Talk | How to Avoid the Blind Spot

Try turning them out all the way, then adjust the up and down to center the cars in the mirror in the right and left lanes.

Use your rear view mirror for the center balanced view, then watch as the car passes you , on either side, now you lose the image in the rear view, but immediately pick the car up in the side mirror, then or course, you'll see the car as it passes you.

This is how mine is set up.

Does anyone feel like the car is too small? I posted a thread about it today, got a good look at the 370Z, it just felt a bit cramped.

It's quite comfortable for average-sized people. It gives me the feeling of being wrapped in a cockpit.
Well, there's not much room for hauling stuff seeing as the car is primarily designed for hauling a** ;)

LunaZ 04-25-2010 02:31 PM

Okay, one more minor complaint.
The door handles are the 370Z's version of a stainless steel refrigerator.
they're always fingerprinted up and grubby looking. The problem is, you kinda have to touch them to get in the car.

cwj370 04-26-2010 07:57 AM

Big mirrors cause hugh blind spots!!! Awful Paint!!

370zproject 04-26-2010 12:50 PM

paint >.<

drdre8424 04-27-2010 01:45 PM

i would have to say road noise, and that horrible blind spot...
the road noise can be remedied by turning up your aftermarket sound system, and that blind spot only really gives me problems when backing out.

j.arnaldo 04-27-2010 02:01 PM

Think of it as a very beautiful girl: Regardless of just how beautiful she is, there WILL be flaws, but you overlook 'em for the positive ones. Same with our beaZts, dude!

Mine's too fast... :shakes head:

DubL Z 04-28-2010 01:39 AM

i think it should sit a little lower. i dont have any body roll and i can take certain turns with out braking. just seem like it should sit a lil lower. i can deal with the road noise, the whack radio, the long throw shifter. overall i love it.

DubL Z 04-28-2010 01:46 AM

come to think about it im kinda glad it doesnt sit any lower. im already 12 foot 9. more like 6'2. trying to sit in it is almost like sitting indian style with no hands.

DIGItonium 04-28-2010 07:59 AM

Something's missing below 3k RPM (throttle lag?) and gear box.

Vegitto-kun 04-29-2010 09:40 AM

Why the hell doesn't the car unlock automatically when I touch the door handle. It is getting really old having to push that damn button everytime.

My freaking megane did it.

UNKNOWN_370 04-29-2010 10:15 AM

The Only thing I absolutely HATE about the Z, that totally cheapens the whole car is that 3rd eye fuel gauge. They should have left it all analog. Computery gadgets are all wrong on sports cars. Besides. The visibility on the fuel gauge is null.
Another peeve is I wish the trunk had a lil more depth. The Z is so thick I don't know it should be able to have a deeper trunk. Other than that. The Z is perfect.

kenchan 04-29-2010 10:18 AM

and we need hood dampers! someone make hood dampers please.

I have my mirrors properly set up, as best I am able to anyway...

It was a 3 lane road, however, they were in the center lane, I was in the left lane. We weren't going the same speed - him slightly slower.

I have 20% tint, it was night time.

Couldn't see the tail lights in the rear view
Couldn't see the headlights in the side mirror
Couldn't see the headlights or anything else in the portal or the side window.

...the disappearing foxbody mustang...

The placement of the cargo cover is kind of dumb. Where it sits, it takes away a vital 6-8" of the usable "trunk" area.
The cover should have been mounted to the crossbar.

feelzpwr91 04-29-2010 10:01 PM

Nissan paint sucks.

Okay yea, that's possible, especially at night if you have enough traffic. If a car is right next to you at night you can sometimes not see his headlights on the road and not know he's there even with a quick glance out your window. With tint it's worse. I almost changed lanes into a black BMW once that was alongside me I didn't see pull up. Nothing much you can do about that tho except remain attentive

fullmonty 05-01-2010 12:28 PM

^Ya same here, I almost merged into a Toyota a little while ago.

G Fo12ce 05-01-2010 01:05 PM

The shoulder belt tensioner/arm clicks and is sometimes annoying. The highbeam indicator light is super bright (I use it a lot to drive home at night after work on a dark road).

jtroun 05-01-2010 01:17 PM

Needs to come stock with an OIL COOLER!!!!
The paint is horribly brittle.

Rui Z 05-01-2010 02:10 PM

My biggest complaint about the car is that I get a raging hard on everytime I start driving it.

fullmonty 05-01-2010 03:16 PM

^Wasn't expecting that

red6spd 05-01-2010 04:58 PM

They take to long to get LOL still waiting for mine.

You dont like the road noise?? Well Nissan offers an Infiniti G37. Bet thats nice and quiet, but quiet=weight, weight=slower, cant have everything. And if my fat a** can fit comfortably in the thing (5 10-5 11 over 270LB) then its big enough lol

Viera 05-02-2010 10:48 PM

The windshield is an effing rock magnet. :shakes head:

True that one.. I call it a wagon wheel.

Also on the list is the poor poor seats. And buttons they used in the 1990 gm line. Almost all parts bin parts.

But the vette is a good value,,, just not a year round car.

Plus it is too wide and feels like your laying down in it. O well.
