I dont understand why SRM is annoying? It's only annoying if you are using it wrong. For example, not knowing how to properly drive a manual transmission.

I love the SRM but I had to get used to it. When you know how to properly drive a manual transmission as you put it, you also use the downshift to slow yourself down when coming to a stop for instance. I had a few mini heart attacks the first few times I found the car accellerating instead of slowing when I downshifted!

i blip the throttle myself, it was nerve wrecking to see 5k during break in period. its just a matter of getting used to it, not saying it is a bad thing. it just feels weird

Congrats on the new Z, Cossie1600!

1) Agreed, but as mentioned... no rear speakers. Although now, I really don't care about the radio. I like listening to the sound of the engine, tranny and the road. Just revving the engine is music to my ears and brings jealous looks from the mini-van dads.

2) Completely agreed. I'm considering using this excuse on my first speeding ticket. Not only is it hard to read, but it's very easy to go FAST.

5) You'll get used to Synchro. I thought of it as a 'crutch' at first, but now i'm learning to use it in my driving. Once I get into 2nd gear, I only touch the gas while shifting if I 'have too' (ie - going really fast)

6) I've had some friends ask me if I already broke the Tranny, cause you can clearly hit it clanking nearly 100 yards away. This is normal and they even have some 'pads' you can buy to quiet it down, but I hear this makes it tighter... /shrug. I've grown accustomed to the sound after 1750 miles.

7) Read the Manual. I use the bar as a reminder to stay as far away from the airbags in the steering wheel as possible.

8) But the Vette doesn't handle nearly as beautifully as the Z does. I love the corner handling on the Z!

10) Pics! There's an awesome photoshopper on the forums, look around and make a request, i'm sure he'd have fun with a smurf-mobile.

11) There's a small pocket behind the passenger seat in my 370z nismo. I thought this was standard? I use it to store my wipe-down towels. That is about it, tho...

Have fun breaking her in, and good luck!

Yes it's weird, but it's an awesome feature. Think about it, we're the first and only cars that have this currently. =) BE A PROUD OWNER.

I know. That's why I used the word weird, not that I hate it or don't like it. It is just different. Am I going to use it? Not sure, but I am glad they gave me an on/off switch in case I don't want to.
