If you worry about what the next new car/motor is going to be that comes out, and how much better it will be than what you have, you'll constantly be playing catch up. It's just a cycle of the industry. Something new and better(subjective) is always coming out. Save your money and be happy with what you have. Or spend your money to get the next best thing. Just be prepared to start the cycle over again.

True, but in this mustang's case this isn't a performance bump....it's a huge leap. I wouldn't even consider a 2010, but the 2011 is a real game changer. It's leaped past the camaro and gives the 370Z pause. I doubt you will see this kind of jump from anyone else anytime soon. Ford had to step up to the plate due to the competition and managed to do it in spades.

That's great if you have somewhere to write it off for...But otherwise that's not the best financial decision IMO.

No car is a good financial decisions unless you can buy those million dollar old cars. But leasing is suppose to be a way of getting more car for less money compared to buying. It used to be leasing was only done on higher end cars but now I see car companies trying to lease $20000 cars. And for people who like a new car every couple of years.

problem is you own nothing. it's a glorified rental. just like renting vs buying a house. at least with buying a car you actually own some equity in it. not much due to depreciation but still something. also if you buy a car you can keep it a long time after it's paid off and the only expenses will be gas, maintenance, and insurance. with a lease, your monthly payments never come to an end. you lease car after car and your monthly payments keep going on and on as long as you live.

I havent leased a car yet but in the last 30 yrs Ive always had a car payment. I went 6 months once without one but I like new cars every few years. I dont do leases as I like to mod my cars.
