Not sure if that is a good thing or not selling them to high school kids, will make them much rarer for sure, because a lot would be wrapped around a telephone pole.

I think this is crazy enough to be the actual answer to how our car stays exclusive after they've been sold to high school kids.

Even adults are having trouble with this car. We seem to lose one or two every month. Usually it's someone's mom just borrowing their car or a friend turning VDC off, though.

pure numbers is 1 thing that makes a car...

IMO the styling and handling of the 370 outweighs the performance gain of the mustang....I personally think the stang is pretty ugly....

Also, it sounds like every man and his dog in the US has a stang? Probably like how here in Aus everyone drives Ford Falcons and Holden Commadores... I could have bought a FPV GT for a slightly better 0-100kph time but I refuse to because they are so common and don't feel as special. As others have noted before, the 370 is a little more exclusive (well in my area it is).

Yea.. but all those magazine benchmark racers in HS(at least in my area) have parent's who buy them any car they want. So I'm sure they'll still be getting the mustangs. And besides my 370z it's a rare day I see any other in my area.

I live in the Z capital... Been seeing 5-6 370s a day lately.

And around these parts 350s are just as popular as Mustangs.

Though the Porsche 911 and BMW 3 series are by far the most popular rides in Northern VA.

The old phrase a dime a dozen comes to mind - I can't drive 2 miles down here in Florida without seeing a Mustang and DeSoto Speedway seems to have a Mustang only event at least once a month so all the Mustang owners take over the roads. Make mine a Z and I'll always be happy watching folks strain their necks to see what I'm driving.

To each his own though, so enjoy!

I pulled this picture up and asked a few coworkers to guess what year mustang interior this is. They all said between the late 80's and early 90's. It's the 2011 Mustang's interior... That's just pathetic design.

I don't mean anything personal about this, but your coworkers know nothing about cars, do they?

Why would I take it personally that you think my coworkers are dumb? :P

Look at the interior though. Take away the Nav screen and it looks like it's from the 80's, even to me. My dream car is a 1993 Mustang GT 5.0, and it's interior is almost identical.

Here's a 1992 LX interior, which is not far from the GT's interior in 1992 (sorry for the large picture). Are you saying it's not pathetically similar?

Have you gone to a Ford dealer, and looked inside a Mustang? Or are you just judging photos, to base your judgment? That pathetic design as you call it! "Hasn't hurt the sale of the Mustang"!
