I've owned 5 Z's. They have all been very reliable cars.
The last two I owned (05 350Z and 09 370Z) have been my daily drivers for 5+ years without a single issue except the ECU whine, which does not affect the 2010 models and has a fix I believe for the 09's. It also does not affect reliability except that it will have to go into the dealership shop to be fixed. The 300ZXTT I have owned for 14+ years has had barely any issues at all. Even the 82 280ZX and 86 300ZX I owned were basically issue free. The 82 was starting to get some rust though. Overall very well built reliable cars.
