I live in Orlando, FL.

Yes, the performance of the 370Z is much better than the 350Z. 370Z pulls hard in upper RPMs. 350Z puttered out it seemed in high RPMs.

Noise seems similar to me. Neither is a quiet ride because they are sports cars. Buy Michelins, it will be quieter then. You will still get rocks and pebbles bouncing in the wheel wells though.

Oil temps are no problem at all. None. I drive fast sometimes. I drive in bumper to bumper highway traffic too. Non-issue.

Transmission is the same, but if you shift well it is not clunky. You just have to know how it is and how to drive it.

how does the 370Z compare to the 300ZXTT?

I know this wasn't addressed to me, but these cars are completely different animals.

Hehe sorry, I'm bored at work =).

Firstly, how significant is the performance upgrade (acceleration, handling, etc)?
I still own both my 350 and the 370. Pretty significant speed advantage, but my 350 handles better.

Secondly, is the noise level of the 370Z significantly increased over the 350Z?
Noise level is less in the 370.

Thirdly, to those living in hot climates such as South Florida, have oil temperatures been a problem?

My "hot climate" makes florida's "hot climate" look like a nice spring day, and I've never had any issues. Although I don't track, I sit in stop n go traffic every day.
Lastly, is the transmission as clunky as the 350Z for example 1st to 2nd shift)?

Can't comment, got the auto this time around. But yeah, my 350 is pretty fuckin clunky.
Thank you

Dead serious. Some others have made the same comments if you look around.

Red370 03-18-2010 02:07 PM

the 350 feels stiffer.

Yep. Makes those corners much easier to take at high speeds.

In fact, read the first post in this thread:

That all being said, the 370 will still handle WAY better than the stang and camaro you're cross shopping.

mdbrich 03-18-2010 02:15 PM

False. I was driving back from San Antonio to Austin. My car went into limp mode, and I pulled over in San Marcos. Did some outlet shopping and hit the road in 30 mins after it cooled down. Temp outside was 100+ and I was on cruise going ~78
