FWIW, the 4.6Ls rated at 315 hp dyno between 270-280 whp (dynojet) and put down around 330 whp with intake, exhaust (CBE and HFCs) and a tune. Drivetrain loss should be similar, so expect around 355 whp stock out of a 2011. But yeah, I don't know why anyone would buy a 2010 knowing that the 2011 was getting that much of a power increase. |
Yea I pulled up next to a scion with neon kit at a red light and the first thing he did when I stopped was rev his engine. I was like oh god, I just looked away and went on with my business and he sped away, probably telling his friends later that he beat a 370z.

Just last weekend had a VW Rabbit and Azteck come at me. Why? is all I ask.

it's kinda like the feeling a nice looking single woman would get when she showed up at a party and nobody made any move, even the ones who had no chance. |

Nah, you can't add your mods to make it fair. That'd be like adding suspension mods to the Mustang to make a road course comparison to the Z fair.
Bottom line is they have the straight line advantage. Stock for stock we beat the 2010s, but 2011 will be a completely different story. And most Mustang guys don't get upset about a 6 banger outgunning them. They are car guys too and understand the fundamentals of power and weight just like we do. And keep in mind that as far as V8s go, Mustangs have always been running the smaller engine compared to other V8 competition. |
