[Edit] Sorry, my bad - I thought you were referring to the rear trunk mat. The Touring does indeed come with a cover that hides the area under the rear hatch... |
is rattling normal. i hear like its from under the car. it rattles after i turn the car off. i hear it on my bro's jeep after he turn his car off. i thought it was normal. didnt think i hear it when i use to have the 07 civic.

Clicking noise passenger rear....
Could small pebbles lodged in the tires cause such an obvious clicking sound?

A backup camera isn't useful unless they also install sensors to tell you how many feet you are from hitting something..
Only Luxury car's have these sensors. You'll be hard pressed to find that in a sports car. I wouldn't trust judging distance with just a picture. Do what I do.. don't parallel park, and don't backup, lmao. ;-) |
Nose smear
Most annoying is nose smear on windows from people trying to look at the interior.:icon17:

Lmao

That is a plus. I noticed this on the test drive. Also when you have the windows down and close the door on the 370, it doesn't make a ominous sound like the window is about to shatter
|
i don't own a 370z...yet. but i drive my friends a lot and a few things i think it needs is the digital speedometer like the 350 and a rear view cam if u get the nav.

Here's my list of complaints:
 |
Has anyone else had the warning light come on for the sync rev syatem yet? Mine did the other day I missed a gear when down shifting and the light came on for about 5 minutes then shut off..seems to be fine now

I wish the sport package was standard on the touring Z. The brake calipers on the touring look like they're from the flintstone era. The ray rims look much better than the standard ones.
|
found this old thread on complaints...
other than the ones listed in the past 22 pages, here's mine... Front visibility esp the 10ft in front of the car. I think due to the stance of the car (on stock sus) and the bonnet design, it is hard to see in front of the car. Have missed seeing speed bumps while coming out of carparks a couple times and rode over them without slowing down. Luckliy out of carparks speed is usually pretty slow so didnt scrape anything under the car... Anyway, perhaps its jus cuz i am a crappy driver.. but then i never had this problem with my all other cars before... |
|
At least OP did say he dredged this up from the archives

After using "search" function....

Very good comments. Heated mirrors and blind spot issues are my biggest grip. Fog lights would be nice.
|
I'm sure that Murcielago drivers are not whining about their blind spots LOL!
My two complaints have to do with the interior: - the high beam light is obnoxious... blinding even! - the steering wheel volume control is too small, and an up/down orientation would have made more sense than left/right |
I really don't have any complaints. This 370Z has exceeded all of my expectations.
|
Paint is sh!t.
The only complaint I have. Everything else has been as good or better than I expected out of a sports car. |
Just one thing... Remote start! My STS has it and I love it, when it's 115 outside getting AC started and the car cooled down... Oh, so nice.
|
For some reason every time I down shift and step on the right pedal everything in my rearview mirror gets smaller.
|
I have to stop driving it.
|
Bose stereo,, hmm enough watts for a guy my age, at 60, I grew up with great R/R music.
Now a backup camera,, are you kidding me it's a sports car not your mom's SUV, if you need a back up cam maybe you should by a Prius,,, I hate the prius, it's the Cockroach of the road,, they are everywhere... If you drive fast enough there are no blind spots,, |
If you hold down the unlock button it will open your windows,,, does it even on the 350

Old school
The 2010 have the TPMS and the Guages are supposed to be retro to the 240z era. I don't like the water temp gauge, there are no blind spots in a 370 ,,, if you are going fast enough..

Since this thread has been revived it seems and since it's 24 pages long (forgive me ahead of time). Does the 370z have any common issues that the 350z and G35 had such as:
1. oil consumption issues - I thought it was said that maybe 09 did but not anything newer...just wanted to confirm. 2. negative camber - so one goes through tires like no one's business. I drive about 18k miles a year on my G and I go through tires it seems like 16mo or 22-24k miles. 3. How is the transmission, I know my G had the transmission replaced by the power train warr since the sychros went bad...so I was wondering if the 370z had the same or similar issues with their trans. 4. did they add a telescoping steering wheel in the later years? thanks in advance, I'm just wondering if I moved onto a 370z; would I have the same concerns as I did/have in my G35. |
Tranny issues

[I] just had the tranny replaced at 30,000 miles...Grinding from 6th to 5th.. the new tranny, the shifter vibrates really hard, like a morraca sometimes on deceleration????,,, 5th gear is the problem again and I really baby this car, no auato cross or drags,,,,,,,,,,,, Oil consumpumtion better now that I use Mobil 1 |
