Thanks for the info on the trans, sounds like it's the same trans issues as the G. Synchos seem to go bad very quickly. How is the tire wear, can I expect the same type of neg camber issues as my G? Ive just replaced out my clutch and what a difference it has made, my car is fun to drive again, but damn, I've put about 8k in 40 mo of ownership from new clutch, oil changes, 30k/60k mile services, brakes and the biggest culprit being tires(I run hankook ventrus).

I'm not complaining since the maintenance othe than tires have been minimal but with the depreciation of the vehicle, I'm beginning to think maybe a new ride will be better and I love the style of the 370z. Test drove a mustang 5.0 and it feels so disconnected from the road compared to my G so that is out -- but man can that car get up and go. LOL

Cotywishlow 07-03-2011 03:33 AM

They actually all Come stock with heated mirrors. And if u can't parallel without a cam I think u need sum driving lessons

TypeOne 07-03-2011 12:37 PM

My complaint is that my car is too good looking and I can't stop thinking about driving it.

tvfreakazoid 07-04-2011 01:43 PM

WOW the clutch went out that quickly? How much did it cost you to get it replaced?
It seems in the long run it's going to be expensive to keep getting it fixed if it goes bad that quickly.

It blows my mind that a handfull of failed parts on ANY vehicle classifies it as a fault. Seriously how many 370Z's have failed syncros?

Tire wear will be normal with your alignment set to the suggested specs with non-agressive driving. Doing brake stands, dumping the clutch, racing, or any other type of agressive driving will cause agressive wear on the parts. It's possible people with abnormal tire wear are not within specs from new. Most people don't bother to do an alignment on a new car....

Vegitto-kun 07-05-2011 06:47 AM

it needs to be faster.

damn you parents always kicking my *** in the GT-R.

I love my car~

SO TRUE,, I have gotten 32,000 + miles from the OEM tires <>Drive fun,, use common sense.. Knowing you in a bad assed Z car should be enough, you don't have to always show everyone,, Take a lesson from the porsche's + vette's.. Driving slower allows you more time in the Z and less tickets,, I am so over getting tickets.... ENJOY THE RIDE
See you in San diego for the 2013 Z convention, I hope>

I got my clutch replaced at 74400k miles. Again, I got my car used so I'm thinking that the car probably was abused by the original owner. Since having the clutch replaced the car really grabs and is a lot of fun to drive again. I've been driving standard since my very first car (almost 18 years ago) so driving standard hasn't been a big deal to me...something I definitely prefer unless it's a SUV or truck :)

I wasn't looking to fault the vehicle, just trying to see if some of the common 'characteristics' such as neg camber or synchros going bad were a common characteristic of the 370z. When I got my G; I knew neg camber would be an issue unless you looked to get camber kits (my attitude was the car was designed for this so it could improve the handling) but with that; came premature tire wear so I knew that going in. Will common characteristics such as racing and pushing the car constantly cause things such as clutches, tires and even the trans to wear out faster - sure; I agree with that so I'm not saying a lot of issues aren't caused by 'user error' but I don't think it's wrong to see if there are 'common' issues with the new Z.

So hopefully what I was asking wasn't taken the wrong way is all. :)

martin82 11-09-2011 06:24 PM

for anyone that doesn't have the heated mirrors you can do this fairly cheap.

Mirror Glass Plus: Universal Heat Grids

I'm sure you can find cheaper, I am actually looking for a place that will have heated and dimming. Found tons of switches on ebay as well for heated seats or even folding mirrors with the heat function from maxima's etc or infiniti's.

onzedge 11-09-2011 10:14 PM

My only complaint about the 370 is that it is too much awesome.

My problem is I can't stop staring at my car's legs in my side mirrors, they look so sexy. Maybe I should start driving in reverse...

LakeShow 11-10-2011 12:40 AM

My complaints are it's way too fun, sounds nice, looks amazing, and drives like a beast. I should sell my car for all these problems. Don't buy one, you may suffer my same problems.

I got 30,000 on the OEM tires

Cristobal09 11-10-2011 08:42 AM

My complaints are for extended drives, my lower back starts to get a little bit. The huge blind spot doesnt help but the rear backup camera helps. The worst problem is everytime I get in, I want to go FAST.....

ZForce 11-10-2011 04:03 PM

My complaints are:

It does not does not come with the old cup holder (like on the Z33) which would be near the glove box .....now I get burnt balls everytime I am transporting two mocha's.

Blind spot
Legs do not stretch out long enough
Throat could be larger
Arse could be fatter
Knockers are too small
Does not warm up fast enough
Has a tendancy to slip out when I wanna slip in

Other than that she puts out everynight

Well, it doesn't have a temperture reader for my cold drinks. I like to drink my refreshments below 45 degrees. I wish my cupholder could talk and. Tell me my drink is getting warm.
Let's see ummm... it doesn't have an insta pillow in the headrest. That could always scome in handy.
Damn, no back seats
It doesn't recline to bed status.
The clock doesn't have an alarm qnd snooze button.
Its not like a bimmer.
I don't have intelligent cruise. You know how important that is in a pure sports car.
I don't have a toilet bowl in the passengers seat. Why can't NISSAN DO ANYTHING RIGHT! I mean geez. It would be so awesome if u can lift the cushion and take a MEAN SH1YT right in your car.
NO satellite TV... WHY????
NO pool table in the trunk. How boring is this car!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey -- Mr. ZForce -- Are you bringing both 370's this Saturday? You should. We can take some group photos.

ZForce 11-10-2011 06:47 PM

We will see, they are both very filthy from the rain. :)

dirtrat 11-12-2011 12:02 AM

My complaints so far:

1. Blind spot, however I've pretty much gotten used to this.

2. Driver side not enough leg room.

3. Passenger side has even less leg room than driver

4. Bose stereo could be much improved.

5. Automatic transmission sometimes shifts very roughly especially when braking quickly.

6. Ocassional acceleration delay

7. Thin paint

I can overlook most of these complaints because I love the looks of my car so much. I will be selling this in two years though and buying something bigger and with more leg room.

tranceformer 11-12-2011 01:07 AM

blindspots are terrible.

side mirrors are huge

and that stupid rear diff bushing, might as well be made of eggshells.

/rant

Skeeterbop 11-12-2011 02:20 AM

New complaint I just found out today. It isn't very good in soft sand. I nearly got stuck this evening after pulling off to the side of the road for a while. Was doing some shooting with some friends and when we left, I very nearly had to get pulled onto the road. Fortunately I saved face and got it onto the road w/o digging any trenches in the sand :D

bleufiend 11-12-2011 09:16 AM

1. Road noise on long drives. Yadda Yadda I know some will tell me to quit complaining, look the 350z was quiet compared to the 370z, it's a minor annoyance to me.

2. The paint is thin as hell. Every two weeks I find a new chip somewhere on the front of the car. It's not like I follow dump trucks every where I go, the paint is just not good quality.

6MT 11-12-2011 09:24 AM

My complaints so far: 1. People complaining about the 370

Sorry folks, I like my car. I have had zero issues with it in the almost three years I've owned it. I put up with all the 370 bashing that goes on. In fact most of the time, I get a good chuckle with all the serious ailments this car seems to have. If one paid attention to all the complaints, you'd get the idea that the 370 is the worse vehicle ever built.

Flame away, but I love my 370. (Or rep away if you agree.)

dirtrat 11-12-2011 01:41 PM

But the people that are complaining about the car OWN the car! After all this is a thread about the complaints of the car. Are you saying everyone should be quite and only listen to you? I've never found the perfect car and I'm sure I will have some complaints no matter what car I own. I'm not bashing you but this is a ridicoulus post. BTW I don't even beleive you that you have ZERO complaints unless you are just a complete 370Z Fanboi. I love my Z but it isn't perfect by any stretch.

I'm totally :owned:

Sorry if I offended you. This thread is not worth the effort.

Alchemy 11-12-2011 03:35 PM

Yeah, I love my Z. I dont really have any complaints. I am starting to get a slight, occasional grind into 3rd and 5th which is a prob but oh well. Itll get fixed one way or another. I grin ear to ear EVERY second Im in it. The blind spot can be a royal PIA sometimes though. Would have loved an oil cooler from the factory too. All small stuff, minus the trans issue. If I had too I would buy the car all over again. Im kinda biased though, I have a huge hard on for Z cars:icon17:

KaienZ34 11-12-2011 03:56 PM

You guys better keep it on topic or else you risk getting in trouble. :stirthepot:

If we are picking at the Z i wish i had a heated steering wheel to go with my heated seats. O and i hate the stupid nissan burger emblem on the front bumper it looks like a big azz button.

EazyD 11-12-2011 05:22 PM

The steering wheel doesn't telescope.

I have normal size torso, long legs. I want the seat all the way back, but then I have to stretch my arms/curl my back. PEBSWAS?

LunaZ 11-12-2011 05:35 PM

The high beam light is too bright and the volume control on the steering wheel should be swapped with the toggle switch.

danny370z777 11-12-2011 06:33 PM

Blind spots but other than that loving the car lots of fun.

Mikes350z 11-12-2011 10:42 PM

Just got mine 3 weeks ago, biggest complaint coming from a 350z, no digital MPH in the gauge cluster... then no rear wiper.

Also why do i have the ipod connector when i cant connect it while keeping the cup holder center console in its spot. IDK where to put it when i plug in my iphone?

Where do you guys move the insert in the console to?

Also, ive had some clunking issues with into first when going slow, into second when slow and thats the only times, im not new to manual so i dont think its me? :shakes head: Any one with similar issues bring it to dealer?

Otherwise, love my new Z same feeling i had every day in the 350 but even better!
