My complaints would be when I have my radar plugged into the dash and need to charge my phone I have to take the change tray out and set it on the floor or seat since every charger I find you cant close the center console with it in. Then of course that will spill everywhere and im picking up change.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... say what lol

I hope they weren't just saying that to get me to sign but I would give them the benefit of the doubt, so yeah you should be ok I think

Did it say it was 2014 z when u bought it this yr?

It's "in service date" or when it is manufactured. I think by default they have the manufactured date on file and then it's to be updated to the "in service" date when purchased, but apparently this doesn't always happen automatically. Obviously the "in service" date is always later.

I had the same thing with my old Civic DD. Had issues with the tire pressure monitoring system and it was a leftover 2011. At first they said it wasn't covered, but I told them I didn't purchase it until 2012 and they updated the system to reflect that and covered it.

Yes, mirrors. I don't have blind spots because ... mirrors ... and just a bit of bob and weave.

no rear windshield wiper like on 350Z.
no truck latch open button on key fob like on 350Z.
no digital speedo like on 350Z.
two clocks in basically the same general area (this is for those with navi).

MagmaRed370z 06-11-2015 10:43 PM

before actually getting out, i tend to twist to the left a bit, left leg out, and with my right hand, grab onto the outer driver side pillar and pull myself out (almost like a pull-up), is this makes sense.

It fits fine! Its just hard to get in and out :ugh2:

Zerocool 06-12-2015 04:00 PM

telescoping wheel would be pretty cool

ShutokuZ 06-12-2015 04:04 PM

I am 5'7" and this car fits me like a glove. Perfect seat width, perfect side bolstering, and great over the hood view. Getting in and out would be zero problem for me, but I prefer to not rub on the side bolsters getting in/out so it is more of a graceful side tilt and fall in... Well I like to think of it as graceful:shakes head:

Sports cars and bad knees may be mutually exclusive. After you get your knee replacements, it will get better.

AS to mirrors, yes....use good driving habits.

How much for JDM replacements?

LAVA 06-12-2015 09:26 PM

Complaints...stock seats suck, gauge on the left is dated, dumb and really just out of place, lack of proper armrest on the door.

Love the car, but here are my complaints:

Backing out of parking spaces, can't see ****.
Clutch noise in neutral.
Removing all the bolts to change the oil.

You don't need to remove all the bolts -- just remove the ones that hold the undertray's "flap" I think it is 3 or 4 of hem.

:iagree: Using a bungee cord to hold the flap is also helpful.

The front part of the tray has several bolts that hold it up. Remove those bolts and the front part will swing out of the way so you can get to the filter and plug. See the FSM for drawings.

It is like a door with a "hinge". Look at the top of the shield in this photo. If you remove the 4 bolts on the top edge, you can swing the top panel out of the way, exposing the drain and oil filter access.

Does this help?

That there are so few (only one in my town to own a Z) people continue to ask me how fast I've driven it or how fast is it?...I love the Z, so far no problems, 20k and I see where the rear view camera came in handy when I made the plunge, can not say I would be a great driver without it...:driving:, hope never to post one CSC failure topic

No heated mirrors, WTF is that about? Where I live it's foggy most of the winter and this is a huge safety issue.

No interior fuel release, not a big deal to most but here in Orygun we're too stupid to pump our own gas, so we hire people even dumber to do it for us. Now I have to get out of the car every time to open the fuel door.

No interior trunk release. Why?

Blind spots are terrible and dangerous.

No back up camera. Hello this is a $40k car in the year 2009.

The fuel gauge area/info center is dumb and looks out of place.

When you have your high beams on the little blue light in the dash is very bright and distracting. And it does not dim with the rest of the panel. Why?

No fog lights.

It seems like there should be a bit more sound insulation in the rear near the tires as you get a lot of road noise and other noises from debris in the wheel wells.

These are mostly minor gripes. The car is fantastic to look at and drive. The navi is great as well. The Bose system is just fine for me. I buy new cars every 2 years or so, so I've had many, and I've never had one that was perfect, there were always a few things that drove me crazy, and this car is no exception.

Agree with most of what you say, not sure when the backup cameras were part of a package but my 2012 has one.

Trunk release, definitely

I used to think that about sound insulation too, however when I got Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Postion tires, the tire sounds practically went silent...maybe try that on your next set of tires :) sticky tires too btw

LOL!! so jut noticed this post was back in 2009 HAHA! I'm a little late to this party I think...

cames4 12-24-2015 12:39 PM

Some of your findings are spot on but you do have a 09 model, my 10 and 14 models have heated mirrors and the 14 has a camera (first year it was required on all cars I believe. As for the blind spots there are plenty BUT better than Mustang, Camaro, and the Challenger is the worst. I added convex mirrors on both OEM mirrors and the blind-spots disappear. Yes, the OEM tire are terrible with noise, I replaced mine with Michelin SS. Better traction, smoother ride and must less noise. Z is not perfect but for the the buck it is a superb car to play with. (IMHO)
