I have surprised myself with the amount of stuff I can fit in there. Lets see. Four over-sized tires. I once went shopping at Sam's Club and bought a whole bunch of stuff, including a pressure washer. I was able to do a CBE, HFC, and Coilovers, all in shipping boxes. One can definitely make stuff fit.

Pffff...8 track all the way! I miss the experience of having the music distort, speed up, then stop completely, and THEN pull the cartridge out then spend 10 minutes pulling the broken tape out and off the interior rollers to find the splice had come apart, and THEN try to straighten all the tape, resplice and reroll tape back into cartridge...wait, maybe I don't miss that after all. But it was the early 70's and I made $1.60 an hour so one had to do what one had to do :icon17:.

Here's a 'complaint' that I noticed when I upgraded to a new cell phone (although it probably sounds more like a 1st world problem). I just got an LG G3, and it's too big to fit in the cup-holder!

That would really piss me off, as the cup holder is also where I place my cell during drives. I've been after a OnePlus One, which also has a 5.5" screen. I never considered that it wouldn't fit in the cup holder.

Yea, it's annoying. I usually just end up putting it in the center 'cubby' thing above the radio (where the GPS would go). I don't use it when I'm driving, so it's not that big of a deal, but still!

aszyd 07-30-2014 09:55 PM

Another first world problem. I have the Nav, so I can't just toss stuff in the cubby... I use the center compartment.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm not quite receiving the proper amount of "smug air of superiority" quite yet.

But yes, absolutely, when I buy a base model + sport package, I don't expect to open the door where the navigation goes and find no navigation system any more than I expect to find no speakers behind every single possible mounting location. Then again, I'm stupid and unreasonable like that, it's one of my faults.

Calm down big boy... You are the one using the word cheap, not me. I used the word "inexpensive" which this car is relatively speaking for a 2dr 300+ hp couple at under $30k. I wasn't saying it in a bad way at all.
As for the radio, the thing has a fade control to balance front to rear speakers but has no rear speakers. I guess when you read that YOU decided to use the word "cheap".
Only thing I can believe in your reply is the final sentence. Only you would know that! I'll believe you if you say so.

Alright I'll chime I with one. And someone correct me if I'm wrong please.

There is no quick release of the seat to allow easy access to the parcel shelf from outside of the car.

b15 08-28-2014 09:53 AM

My main complaint is that the older ones have depreciated to a point where they are affordable by a crowd that I would not like to associate with....

This sole reason has almost driven me to sell so many times...

What's sad is that if you take all the money you spend on the 370, and all the mods, and if you have a DD. You could own an 09-10 GTR

It is kind of sad.

I guess the Honda Civic deserves a break, though, and not all of those kids can afford an awesome supercar like a Civic Si anyway.

TimBob 08-29-2014 07:10 AM

Complaints?

My 2014 pulled to the left slightly since mile 1. I took it in to the dealer and they did an alignment (toe was out) at about 700 miles. Now, just 500 miles (and 3 weeks) I noticed it seemed to be pulling to the left again on my way home last night.

HEK 08-29-2014 08:56 AM

I have a 2013 sport/ navy manual and don't have blind spots as I added some convex mirror to the side mirrors (which are heated) and have the back up camera...so no complains after 3500 miles

cames4 08-29-2014 10:35 AM

Programmable Seat Positions

I wish the seat position could be programmed to allow quicker entry when valet or other small driver moves the driver seat. Since the seat control is on the right side of the seat I have to climb in and move the seat back all the way to sit down. I have a 14 Touring model.

14ZTSport 08-29-2014 11:21 AM

Speaking of seats, I am really missing my 8 way electric seats...would be nice to be able to raise the seat a bit off the floorboard!

That's funny, I would have liked to be able to lower it a couple inches!

AlexRaymond19 08-29-2014 03:10 PM

Not sure if this was already said, but sometimes we. I have my windows down, the sun catches the foot rest just right and blinds me... Same with the cluster of gauges behind the steering wheel.

Speaking of windows, if it's raining and I have to roll my window down, there is no guard to catch the water... Pisses me off

LOL...either way, it should move up AND down! And I don't consider the cushion tilts either of the two...

Aescen 08-29-2014 07:30 PM

+1 on the road noise complaint. fuel gauge is bleh. my only complaints.

dynamat all of the things and that should handle some of the noise.

Malm 08-29-2014 07:45 PM

For some reason in this car I cannot find a spot to put my phone when plugged into the radio out of direct sunlight (when a drink is in the cup holder). I like to take midday cruises (Florida) and have actually had my phone overheat (streaming music) from it just sitting on the passenger seat. This is of course from direct sunlight! Wish the z somehow had more interior shade with the windows down. It's a weird kink

Edit: &@@$$ cup holders please!

The best place I've found for my phone is to set it on edge length-wise between the parking brake and the cup-holder. YMMV.

I have a mount for my phone right above the airbag indicator on the right side of the radio. I think it works wonders.

I just found out what I don't like about the Z, is that now I don't enjoy driving anything else, wifey took the Z today to work to "show it off" to her g/f's as they went out for lunch a nobody believes she can drive a standard and I took her 2014 Rogue, which is fun but ehem boring. The fact that now most cars that are auto have this CVt transmission I'm waiting for the gears to change but it's like driving go cart...but the sound system and lack of road noise make up for it...carry on..:tiphat:

I have back pain all the time... But with the touring seats with the lumbar set to the max... I could drive for hours in my car... I did, lol, I drove from Dallas to LA, and I'd do it again, over and over, lol (my friends didn't believe me about the comfort until I drove it out, now they all agree I have the the nicest riding interior (most of them have RX7s))

My dad, even when he drives my car thinks it's comfy, he has REALLY bad back problems, and while he doesn't care for the roof being low or the pain to get in and out or even the leg bolsters, he likes the back support, and the seat heaters, although I JUST taught him about those

Is your Z MT?

Ok so here it goes. My complaints would be when I have my radar plugged into the dash and need to charge my phone I have to take the change tray out and set it on the floor or seat since every charger I find you cant close the center console with it in. Then of course that will spill everywhere and im picking up change.

I might have to take a pic but I have a basic charger in the center console and there is a slot along the drivers side edge that the cord can stick out of and you can close the center console no problem.

I bought my Z in 2014 as a leftover 2013 so it was new according to the dealer and was substantially less for the same option vehicle made in 2014 so I just had to clear some issues with the road side assistance program that I had to use just this week for a dead battery. I was told that the road side assistance coverage is for 36k or 3 years and the person on Nissan Road side told me it was about to expire since the records show it being a 2013. I made a call and it was corrected, glad it didn't happen when I needed it....:driving:

I had the same concern when I bought my Z in 2015 as a leftover 2014. The dealer I bought it from (Nissan of Mission Hills) told me that my warranty started the day I bought the car, regardless of model year. I hope they weren't just saying that to get me to sign but I would give them the benefit of the doubt, so yeah you should be ok I think
